When my daughter and I (and my dog) arrived at El Yantar de Gredos we were welcomed by Daniel and Cristina. It was like coming home. We were made to feel so welcome. It was a quiet time just after the summer holidays, even so, Daniel was able to deliver the full menu which was amazing locally sourced food. I travel through Spain most summers and the Sierra de Gredos has become one of my favourite places so I will definitely be back to see my new friends Daniel and Cristina. This is a beautiful rural hotel with rustic charm. It isn't a flashy boutique hotel which would be completely out of place in the village of San Martín del Pimpollar. It was exactly what we were looking for and devliered 100%

Location was an issue but because of an incorrectly configured Google Maps. My car ended up bogged in an unmade road some distance from the hotel. I managed to get a phone call in to the owner, who came in his own car to rescue me. Both owners David and Mariza were very kind and empathetic and brought hot soup and wine to my wet and cold being (It was raining at the time) The rest of my stay was marked by enthusiastic professionalism and goodwill. The physical property is superb with beautiful wooden fittings, open fireplaces and superb gardens and outdoor features. The room was well equipped and heated.

Really good value and breakfast the next morning was great as well, just a few euros for coffee, fresh juice and toast. Instructions received prior to arrival on where to find the key as not staffed in the evening, which was fine. I had booked a twin room, but on arrival, I found it was a double bed room. Within 30 mins of messaging, someone had arrived and showed us into a twin room, which was great. Basic room but that's all we needed after a long day on the motorbikes.

You can stay here with kids — there is a very cozy children’s bedroom. You can also stay here with pets — they’re allowed, and there are plenty of places to walk them. You can comfortably stay here even in November — there’s a fireplace and air conditioning, so the house stays warm. The beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has all the necessary utensils. Every window offers an amazing view. The house is decorated with such great taste that you feel like you’re somewhere in Bordeaux. And if the sky is clear, you can see the stars like nowhere in the big city. It was AMAZING!

We arrived on two motorcycles a little early and we not able to check in until the allotted time. The room were very comfortable and located at the rear of the hostel. It was unseasonably warm and as a consequence had to leave the window open for fresh air. However the sound of the swollen river rushing just below our room made for a disturbed night. The in house restaurant was closed the day we arrived, but it was only a short walk to the town where her were plenty of eateries available. Under canopy was provided at no cost and ideally located to ride into the mountains.

This is a true boutique hotel. Very eclectic, stylish and kept to perfection. We were greated by the kind owner and her staff. The hotel, gardens and pool, with a view over the snow topped mountains is a real gem, not to be missed if you are looking for true luxury. Thank you for a nice stay

Good place! As I can see this place is famous for travellers who like Gredos park and for that ones who travel around Spain. Good view from the window and there are conditioner and heater. I would stay here again if I traveled near this hotel.

Arenas de San Pedro is a very beautiful, calm city with nice people. The views of Sierra de Gredos all around take your breath away. The lake, the Castle and other monuments and interesting places definitely worthy to visit! Nice bars and restaurants with good food. We're also crossing our fingers for Espacio Joven - Asociacion Jovenes Solidarios is an important association that builds the community up. Beautiful nature and nice people! I will surely be back to visit more!

We enjoyed the Medieval Market, lots of nice things to buy and eat!!😀 The restaurant at the POSADA VILLA MARIA was excellent the food very good and the waiters very helpful with anything you asked for. We would definitely return to POSADA VILLA MARIA again this Summer, the owner Oscar was very helpful with anything we wanted. The ladies that cleaned our rooms were very thorough and our rooms and bathrooms were spotless!! We had clean towels every day, also toothpaste, toothbrush, shower gel and shampoo every day too!! The heating was excellent and our rooms were lovely and warm… also the fridge was very cold and it kept our drinking water cold!! All in all our stay was excellent, we would definitely recommend it to our friends and family!!

It was very comfortable to rest (shower and sleep) on the room during our trip by car from France to Portugal. We had a very good rest. We didn't visit nor ate nor did walks on the nature but we know it's in a very well located place for hiking in the mountains.

Nice town in amazing surroundings. Beautiful places for a walk in the mountains nearby. The town itself is nothing very special, but easy to navigate and quiet. There are some good restaurants available, but the variety isn't great.
