Fantastic location. Lovely modern apartment with secure parking in a designated parking spot. Very well equipped apartment. Great host. Easy access for check in with use of door code. Good check in and check out times. Tastefully decorated and even a TV over the bath! Meadow hall & Sheffield arena are only 10-15 minutes away and the Peak District is about 30 minutes drive. Just around the corner is KFC, Costa Coffee, Macdonalds, Asda & Aldi and a few pubs.

It would be possible to walk to Matlock or Matlock Bath (1/2mile in each direction). The continental breakfast, included in the price, was reasonably extensive. The family room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

Exceptional value. The room was clean and had a kettle with tea & coffee. Clean bathroom with a powerful shower. Being in a separate building behind the pub it was very quiet. Perfect location for an overnight stay as we wanted to get to Hardwick Hall (10 miles SE) and the Peak District. Manager was friendly. We didn't eat in so can't comment on the pub or breakfast.

Overall, a very positive experience. The location of the New Bath Hotel was perfect as a HQ for a trip to Alton Towers, as well as a jumping off point to explore the wider Peak District area. Matlock Bath is a quaint little town, with nice pubs and only a 5 minute drive to the larger Matlock next door, which has dozens of pubs and eateries.

I had a great stay in the bunk room. Really nice staying in an only a 2 person shared room compared to a larger hostel. Everything was clean and comfortable. Multiple pillows and blankets and towels provided for free. Very close to public transportation to the Peak District. I would recommend and would stay again if in Macclesfield again.

The location is great for the Monsal trail. I thought the apartment was a perfect base for an adventurous weekend in the Peak district. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is great and the apartment is spacious for a couple of people. The hosts looked after our bikes when we weren't using them.

Old Hall Hotel is in a pretty good location in the middle of the Peak District. Our rooms were great, the staff were fantastic, and we enjoyed the breakfast. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this hotel as a place to stay if you're travelling through Hope.
