Everything about this place was just great. It has a warm atmosphere, created by the kind hostess. The crackling fire in the woodstove, homecooked meals, the view, the location on the trail (good for Lagem pass), cosy livingroom to meet other travellers, comfy beds, hot shower. The room was very clean and quiet. It offered a wonderful view of Mount Ushba. I had to leave for Mestia in the morning, but the host did everything possible to ensure I could arrive on time. Not only that, but they also helped me buy my bus ticket. It was a huge help.

we have 12person and stay this hotel. we meet a super friendly staff , nana and the chef is super nice ladies. one day we need to travel out early, they prepare us lunch box for 12 of us. location just walk 10mins to town. hotel is clean and u can use everything in restaurant. room is comfortable, view is nice, breakfast is great , have parking . at night we use restaurant area for our member, cup , wine glass, hot water , coffee u can use it for all time. they don't have laundry.service, but when we request, they do it for us. super recommend to stay here when u travel Mestia.

This is a very good value hotel, which is primarily used for tour groups. The hotel is only ten minutes walk from the centre. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the mountains which was very good. The room is a good size and the twin beds were surprisingly, extremely comfortable. Simple breakfast but adequate. WiFi in our room was very weak, however in the reception area there is a strong signal. Outside the front of the hotel in the garden, there is a very good covered terrace area with plenty tables and chairs. The manager was very pleasant and helpful with any requests. Overall great value.

Brilliant place. Nice rooms, hospitable staff, clean and great food 👌 12-day trip around Georgia, and this was the best place I stayed at. Definitely also no need to go elsewhere for food, breakfast and dinner both really excellent. The staff, including the house dog, are all great and helpful.

During winter be careful; roads are slippery , 4x4 is a must if you rent a car. Don't worry about road closures. There are very limited restaurants during winter , they have only few money exchanges, which is always closed. , very limited ski rental shops

Ushguli is a wonderful city with its stunning nature and historical beauty, perfect for resting after long trekking and hiking adventures. Tamar Castle is a must-visit spot. Located at the upper part of the city, it’s reached via a scenic path intertwined with a dried-up riverbed. The view of the city from the castle is breathtaking. Additionally, vibrant wildflowers along the mountains add a colorful charm to the city’s atmosphere. After a 6-day hike, we arranged a taxi back to Mestia with help from the facility where we stayed. It’s also easy to find many taxi drivers in the city square.

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. Paddle through its emerald waters on a boat, gazing upwards at the towering limestone cliffs adorned with lush greenery. The tranquil silence is occasionally broken only by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgling of cascading waterfalls. For an adrenaline rush, consider the zipline that soars over the canyon, offering a truly exhilarating perspective. While it may come at a slight premium, the experience is well worth it.

A small port town with not much to do, but you can check out the lighthouse, stroll through the town center, and enjoy some good food. Maltakva Beach is decent too. I’ve heard that trash from nearby rivers sometimes washes up on the beach — something to keep in mind.

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. Hores rental is not expensive, during my visit about US $38 per day

Adishi is a very nice village in Svaneti, and almost everyone who is doing the Mestia-Ushguli hike would visit. The views are so nice. The only problem is the guesthouses, the beds are old and the mattress is not good for a good night sleep. You cannot find any single guesthouse with nice reviews regarding the beds

Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum.

Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum. Worth to visit Laghami church as well. In the country, which is famous for wines, visiting local beer brewery "Setieli" might be an exotic adventure and fun. Favourite place to eat Lanchvali restaurant, if too tired to get up to the hill, "Lushnu Our" might be the second choise, although too crowdy. Cable car get you up to Zuruldi masiff. Mestia is great location for those who enjoy one day trecking and walks.

It is a small town with many cars.

It is a small town with many cars. Dadiani's palace and botanical garden are must-sees, and the rest are the courtyards of Zugdidi residents with beautiful flowers. 2 days is enough. It is very similar to a village, only one main street is similar to a city :)

Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location. Quite simply a dream. It deserves time spent here. More than a day trip. You can hike. You can sit and soak up the unforgettable views. Wandering through Ushguli is like stepping back in time. We stayed for two nights and it was quite simply one of the top highlights of our travels to date. Our mistake: not staying longer.
