This is a brand new hotel — everything is fresh, modern, and spotlessly clean. The location is perfect, within walking distance to all main attractions. The staff are incredibly friendly and speak very good English, which made communication easy. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended it by a few extra days. Highly recommended!

Everything was exceptional from the the beginning to the end of our trip! Rooms are clean, breakfast is delicious and people are super nice! Even though we had some issues with the arrival they were thoughtful and understandable and made our stay as pleasant as possible! They offer transfers from Kutaisi airport and also to the ski resorts Tetnuldi and Hatsvali. The hot tub is a great spot to relax after a long day on the slopes. Would love to return and definitely recommend the hotel!

Absolutely beautiful hotel in the mountains. It's relatively new so all of the facilities are in great condition. The bed was super comfortable with a thick duvet and big pillows - perfect after finishing the third day of the Mestia to Ushguli hike. There's a lovely outdoor space with views of the mountains. We had dinner and breakfast the next morning, and the food was soooo good. The staff were incredibly sweet. A great experience all around ☺️

It was so nice. They can speak English well and there is espresso machine. It was very good with milk. Latte(esso with hot milk) was much better than any other cafe in Mestia. Terrace room is best. I can take the rest and read book at terrace chair.

I really liked the owners. Marlen is very helpful and friendly, and his wife cooks amazing food 🥰 We felt so welcomed and happy being there. They have very nice animals, they led us to our destinations. Also the owners took care of our transfers back, and also did an excursion for us to Mestia and surroundings. Rooms are clean, balcony views are amazing! Im going to come back for sure and I recommend to everyone to visit this amazing gem!

This is a very good value hotel, which is primarily used for tour groups. The hotel is only ten minutes walk from the centre. We had a room on the third floor overlooking the mountains which was very good. The room is a good size and the twin beds were surprisingly, extremely comfortable. Simple breakfast but adequate. WiFi in our room was very weak, however in the reception area there is a strong signal. Outside the front of the hotel in the garden, there is a very good covered terrace area with plenty tables and chairs. The manager was very pleasant and helpful with any requests. Overall great value.

We were only one night there and arrived with our car at 5pm. The couple of our host was very nice and spoke wonderful English. The recommendation of dinner restaurant was also excellent. The room was very cosy and especially the bed was really comfortable. They have also a beautiful garden. All the decorations in the apartment were just nice and made us feel like at home. Excellent breakfast in the morning.

Mestia is an amazing place, it has everything: nature, culture, food, adventure opportunities, etc. It can be visited during the whole year and it offers great views, incredible atmosphere and landscapes. There are different restaurants with fantastic food and sometimes even music. You should not skip Ethnographic Museum, Khergiani House Museum and Laghami Church. You can also do day trips or hiking around Mestia and discover more of Svanetian wonders.

Ushguli is a wonderful city with its stunning nature and historical beauty, perfect for resting after long trekking and hiking adventures. Tamar Castle is a must-visit spot. Located at the upper part of the city, it’s reached via a scenic path intertwined with a dried-up riverbed. The view of the city from the castle is breathtaking. Additionally, vibrant wildflowers along the mountains add a colorful charm to the city’s atmosphere. After a 6-day hike, we arranged a taxi back to Mestia with help from the facility where we stayed. It’s also easy to find many taxi drivers in the city square.

Martvili Canyon is a breathtaking natural wonder. Paddle through its emerald waters on a boat, gazing upwards at the towering limestone cliffs adorned with lush greenery. The tranquil silence is occasionally broken only by the melodic chirping of birds and the gentle gurgling of cascading waterfalls. For an adrenaline rush, consider the zipline that soars over the canyon, offering a truly exhilarating perspective. While it may come at a slight premium, the experience is well worth it.

Adishi is a very nice village in Svaneti, and almost everyone who is doing the Mestia-Ushguli hike would visit. The views are so nice. The only problem is the guesthouses, the beds are old and the mattress is not good for a good night sleep. You cannot find any single guesthouse with nice reviews regarding the beds

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature...

Mazeri is marvelous place if you want to connect with nature. everything is authentic and not influenced by technology as it is in metropolitan areas. Air is clean and evening till morning is quiet. Godd place for hiking and camping, near by water falls and Ushba mountain has its impact on the place. I have not hiked until the Glacier however reaching waterfall area and crossing wooden bridges were thrilling enough for me. Just to highlight, as it is country side do not expect to have restaurants or Cafeteria or grocery shops. Locals with guesthouses and English language is not their preferred language. Russian language is commonly understood there. Expect simplicity and infrastructure of basic countryside with no complications. So far I had 3 visits to Mazeri, for sure I would prefer to have my own transportation to match my need and convince. If you would hire a driver there then should negotiate as prices varies and public transportation will be limited. Renting a horse is fun, if you cannot ride then can hire a guide along with the horse with extra pay. Hores rental is not expensive, during my visit about US $38 per day

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common...

Zhabeshi is the first overnight stop on the most common route taken by hikers walking the iconic Mestia-to-Ushguli hike. (There are alternative routes that bypass Zhabeshi.) The village is located in an exquisite valley just below the confluence of the Tviberi and Tsaneri Rivers, nestled under the slopes of Tetnuldi and Banguriani peaks in the Greater Caucasus Range. If you're into mountain environments and ancient villages steeped in history, it doesn't get much better than this.

Lovely small city on the Black Sea coast!

Lovely small city on the Black Sea coast! A pretty high-street and church located in the centre and a nice lighthouse on the seafront. Just south of the city is a nice beach to relax on a warm day, although there isn’t much shelter from the wind. Would recommend a short stay of a couple of days. Good connections back to Tbilisi with busses and a railway station!

I loved the mountains which surround the town.

I loved the mountains which surround the town. The town itself is a jewel which is preserved architecturally. Hard to explain, but Mestia is a very special place. Don't forget to visit the village of Ushguli nearby. Mestia has a phenomenal museum of religious art with outstanding early icons and manuscripts from the region Svaneti.

Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location.

Ushguli is uniquely beautiful. A one-of-a-kind location. Quite simply a dream. It deserves time spent here. More than a day trip. You can hike. You can sit and soak up the unforgettable views. Wandering through Ushguli is like stepping back in time. We stayed for two nights and it was quite simply one of the top highlights of our travels to date. Our mistake: not staying longer.
