Incredible ancient sites of course, but be aware that everything is hugely overpriced which you expect in a touristy place - but these prices begger belief!! Get your lunch/groceries at a supermarket on your way here as the one we saw was shut forcing us into ridicuously expensive alternative. A picturesque old town that has maintained its character (unlike nearby places like Itea). There is not a lot to do; a couple of days would suffice for Galaxidi; however, you can use it to explore the area. For example the orqacle of Delphi is 30 mins away. Arachova is not far. Nafpaktos abotu 40 mins away. So Galaxidi is a great place to use as a base. In Galaxidi itself there are plenty of good restaurants and tavernas as well as bars and coffee places. Nice little village neat Parnassos. It feels like the local businesses are never ready to accommodate visitors in high demand period (Long weekends/ Holidays). A quieter town and a great experience seeing and experience the greek way of life. We love the history the sites and museum, hiking and the mountains so ticked all our boxes. So many lovely restaurants, the food is beautiful and our hotel was just perfect for our stay. We stayed at Acropole Hotel and had an amazing meal at en Delphi, located just near the bus stop. We stayed for 2 days Arachova which gave up plenty of time to visit Delphi and get to know the town. Beautiful views, great restaurants. Be prepared for narrow streets with 2 way traffic and pedestrians all vying for a spot, but by our 3rd week in Greece we realized we just need to pay attention and everyone looks out for one another on the road. Arachova is easy to get around walking. We ate at Το Τσουκάλι and had an incredible experience with the chef suggesting each part of our 4 course locally sourced Greek mountain meal and were treated to a bonus dessert!Guest review byGailUnited States - 8.0

We used Itea as a base to travel to Galaxidi, Delphi, and Arcahova. It’s an attractive little place with sea front cafes/food/bars.
