This guest house has been designed for comfort, a sanctuary of trees, birds & butterflies. Simple yet subtle quality, and the lighting makes the gardens magical at nite. Note to morning safari goers, there's a pool after that hot ride. The food is fresh, tasty & varied - we went traditional but got Western as well. Nadika is a super host - so thoughtful. She went out of her way to look after my cough w/natural remedies. Her team is warm & efficient as well. We would love to return for a longer stay.

The owner and staff were very friendly the owner Roshan was very welcoming and helpful. He helped us with the booking of a safari. (We got a really good driver/spotter who gave us all he had to show us all the Animals in the park) Also Roshan gave us tips for our trip continuation, which was super helpful. But the best part was the dinner. If you are looking for a traditional Sri Lankan dinner experience you have to eat at the location. All dishes are home cooked and are super delicious. The same counts for the breakfast and lunch boxes for the safari. We really got spoiled there.

After a very tiring journey, Adique Resort was a fantastic landing spot to recover from the journey. A beautiful boutique hotel, a wonderfully spacious room with a stunning view of the Indian Ocean. Do not search for 4 or 5 star hotels. This hotel is more than sufficiënt. The hotel manager let us check in earlier, in the morning so we could catch up on sleep. Thank you very much for your hospitality and the friendly staff. ස්තූතියි

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The shower was consistently hot and AC worked well. The staff were very friendly. The manager in particular was super helpful. The food is really good and reasonably priced for the area. The accommodated our vegetarian needs and even made us veggie burgers on burger night. The location is good. Honestly the beach is being consumed by the sea but Surfpoint are doing a really good job at retaining what they can. We are not kite surfers and we came here just to relax after some hard travelling and it was perfect. It was also great to be surrounded by enthusiastic kite surfers and watch them in the bay. We wish we had allowed more time here.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights and absolutely loved it. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable, and very clean. We also enjoyed the wonderful view over the jungle. The host family is incredibly friendly, warm, and welcoming. From the moment we arrived, we felt very comfortable and well taken care of. They also organized an excellent safari for us. We had a fantastic guide named Niki, a driver, and another team member accompanying us. This worked perfectly because together they were able to spot many animals for us. We highly recommend both this hotel and the safari they arranged. Thank you very much for this wonderful experience. We will always remember it.

What a wonderful stay we had at Taru Villas. We booked last minute and were greeted warmly by Mark when we arrived. We quickly realised that as it was low season, we had the entire hotel to ourselves! We were upgraded to the best room on the property with a gorgeous jacuzzi overlooking the jungle. The room was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. Full board was included in the room price and we enjoyed an outstanding 3 course breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked specially for us by the chef. The key highlight for us was the outstanding service and friendliness of the staff. They couldn’t do enough for us. A lovely touch at the end of our trip was that they had arranged for us to plant a tree in their gardens, and had prepared a beautiful plaque with our names inscribed. It was a truly memorable trip and couldn’t have been any better. I highly recommend to everyone!

His attention to detail and genuine interest in making our stay as comfortable as possible went above and beyond our expectations. It’s clear that he takes pride in ensuring everything runs smoothly, and his hospitality was top-notch. The chef deserves an equally glowing review. Every meal was a delight – from traditional Sri Lankan dishes to international favorites, everything was cooked to perfection. The fresh seafood was particularly spectacular, and we loved the variety of flavors and ingredients that were used. Dining at the hotel was truly an experience in itself. The rooms are beautifully designed with comfort and style in mind. Whether you’re staying in the cozy beachfront chalets or the stylishly modern rooms, you’ll find everything you need for a perfect stay. The open-air feel, combined with excellent amenities, made for an incredibly peaceful and relaxing environment. The sea breeze and sounds of the waves just outside my window created the ideal atmosphere for unwinding after a day of adventure. We had the pleasure of going on a boat ride to experience dolphin watching, and it was absolutely magical! The boat ride itself was scenic and peaceful, and seeing the playful dolphins in their natural habitat was an experience we’ll never forget.

An Absolute Hidden Gem – Pure Magic at Dolphin Beach Resort I stayed at Dolphin Beach Resort for one night with my friend Arif, and honestly, I’m still dreaming about it. This place is gorgeous—a hidden gem tucked away in serene Kalpitiya that deserves way more attention than it gets. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted. The property is huge, incredibly clean, and so peaceful that it felt like time slowed down. The architecture is stunning—eco-chic in the best way. We stayed in one of their luxury tents, and let me just say... it was out of a dream. Spacious interiors, a thoughtfully designed bathroom, and an outdoor shower that made me feel like I was in a nature-luxe fantasy. The view? Breathtaking. There's even a windmill nearby that adds a rustic charm to the horizon, and we loved it—it added so much character to the vibe. The pool was picture-perfect, and the whole atmosphere just made us feel like we had escaped to our own private paradise. Dinner was beautifully arranged—delicious, fresh, and served with care. In the morning, we asked if we could have breakfast by the beach, and they went out of their way to set it up for us. That gesture alone won my heart. I truly don’t understand why this place isn’t packed—maybe that’s part of its charm. But trust me, more people need to discover this slice of heaven. I’ll definitely be going back. If you're looking for peace, beauty, and something extraordinary, Dolphin Beach Resort is the place.

So very much enjoyed our month stay at Club Palm Bay… the management and staff TRULY exceeded our expectations in every way!!! We chose the all-inclusive option for convenience and were very happy with it; large variety of great food and drinks. The Staff were always willing to go above and beyond to help us and make us feel like it was our home away from home. We cannot thank all of them enough for such an enjoyable month long stay. So good in fact, that we decided to stay another month plus. If I had to choose one person that stands out and that's very hard to do because the list is very long who deserves recognition it would be a server named Thushan, who also I feel should be considered for a well-earned promotion… but again; all management and staff are outstanding!!! Highly suggest Club Palm Bay for your stay in Sri Lanka!!!

We had a wonderful stay almost the entire hotel to ourselves since it seemed to be low season. Our Vila was very big and clean and comfortable. The bathroom outside was really nice although I never went out by myself lol. Be careful squirrels that go in your room to look for food but are harmless!! The breakfast was good and the pool always clean. Beautiful walk to the beach.

Perfect stay at the Karanukarala Ayurveda resort, especially the Ayurveda treatment was wonderful. In the beginning, the crew told me it was fully booked, but in the end, they managed to schedule it for me. The room was big, and really clean and the beds were very comfortable. I enjoyed my stay there, especially to relax (recommend the yoga and meditation classes).

I did a solo trip to Wilpattu and stayed in one of the tents...

I did a solo trip to Wilpattu and stayed in one of the tents, and I absolutely loved the experience. The tent was very spacious, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. The team arranged my safari, which made everything so easy, and I was able to order a delicious dinner as well as a packed breakfast to take with me on the early morning safari. Their hospitality was excellent throughout my stay. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Wilpattu. A perfect place to relax, enjoy nature, and experience the wildlife.

Kalpitiya is a very nice place to enjoy Kitesurfing in Sri Lanka. The atmosphere is very agreeable. The people are very pleasant and peacefull. There are plenty of places where to eat in Kudawa. It may just be a bit challenging on the first days to get the hang of it. Once understood, we don't want to leave it.

Walking distance to the beach and explore the village around the facility. Stay and relax before or after a tiring tour. Highly recommended. Easy a access to the village market, restaurants and very famous church nearby. Close proximity to the International Airport.

The Manager of the hotel and his staff (including 3 dogs and a cat) are above any praise. If you seek for a well organized place to rest without problems do come to Puetz Travels Beach Resort. Mr. Marcus will make your trip a real holyday. Even wild crocodiles that live in the nearby river dream to move to the magic canals of Puetz Travels Beach Resort. I wish i were among the lucky ones. Nattandiya is a hidden gem!

Nattandiya is a hidden gem! This quiet village offers an authentic Sri Lankan experience away from the tourist crowds. The peaceful atmosphere is perfect for relaxation, and the local community is incredibly welcoming. We loved experiencing traditional fishing and cooking with the locals - it gave us a real insight into Sri Lankan village life. The area is beautifully serene with easy access to the coast. If you're looking for genuine cultural immersion in a tranquil setting, Nattandiya is the perfect destination. Best value for money we've found in Sri Lanka!

Largest NP in SL.

Largest NP in SL. Think with the highest density of leopards in South Asia. But due to the roads inside the NP getting damaged due to a strong cyclone in Nov25, access to some parts of the park is restricted. But still its an interesting place to visit

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination.

Kalpitiya is an enchanting destination. It's the only place in Sri Lanka where you can take kitesurfing lessons and safely practice kitesurfing with expert assistance from seasoned local kitesufers. Although it's generally considered an arid landscape, even in August, one of the driest months in Sri Lanka, it was largely green and without sweltering heat. Probably, the strong wind causes the heat to dissipate. There's a long stretch of fairly clean beach to explore. Many hotels to stay in and many restaurants to dine at. If you take the train from the Colombo fort railway station like me, you can get down at Palaviya station and walk about 100 metres to reach the road leading from Palaviya to Kalpitiya and take a bus from there and then get down at either Kurinjipitiya or Kalpitiya depending on where you plan to visit and/or stay in. Apart from Kitesurfing, you can go sightseeing, see dolphins, bask in the sunshine, take boat tours, cycle and more in Kalpitiya.

You need a car or a Tuk Tuk to take you anywhere as it is...

You need a car or a Tuk Tuk to take you anywhere as it is away from any shops ect The hotel was very helpful and arranged a Tuk Tuk to take us to the market and religious site. Be mindful regarding the beaches as they are not fit to swim in due to the plastic rubbish and pollution in the water. We went for a walk on the beach but came back after a few hundred metres as it was too depressing to go any further due to the plastic rubbish all over the beach and the millions of microplastic balls that we thought were stones and then realised what it was. Very disturbing

Nattandiya is a beautiful, peaceful area that's perfect for travelers seeking tranquility away from the busy tourist spots. The location offers lush green surroundings and a genuine Sri Lankan village atmosphere. It's conveniently located for exploring the west coast while maintaining that calm, authentic feel. The local people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. I found it to be an ideal base for relaxation while still being accessible to nearby attractions. The area has a nice selection of local restaurants and small shops. If you're looking for a quiet retreat with easy access to beaches and nature, Nattandiya is an excellent choice. Highly recommend staying here for a more authentic Sri Lankan experience!

We love everything, including food, location, and the setup. We had such an awesome experience there. But the price is a bit higher than we expected, and if you are flexible with date changes after the reservation, it will attract more travelers.
