United StatesAmazing room- a suite that included a living area opening onto a balcony. Stunning full picture window of the hills. Comfortable mattress (that you can flip to adjust firmness). Lovely in-room amenities (bathrobes, slippers, beverages, bath0 and a really well designed room (easy to have a spot for everything that made sense and was functional). Amazing location- I went for a run in the Grun Holle (Green Hell) rock formation in the morning. Great spa amenities (regular sauna, infared sauna, indoor pool). Restaurant on site. Friendly staff who were efficient and got their jobs done. I would recommend this stay to anyone. Breakfast had plenty of choices for me and they even made me a soft boiled egg on demand. I had almost no issues here!

Echternach, if not the entire t of Luxembourg, is an...
Echternach, if not the entire t of Luxembourg, is an underrated gem. Being English we barely heard a single country person and you are really missing out! If you love the outdoors I couldn't think of a better place to come. Public transport is entirely free and very easy to navigate with the brilliant app mobiliteit.lu. We went on trains, buses and trams entirely free the whole time. It is very easy to set off from Echternach on a bus then walk all the way back, or just do a loop then return back to base. The Mullerthal trail app again is really helpful to find out what walks are in each area - app.mullerthal.lu. But you could just walk directly from Echternach and our youth hostel. The Hostel was set on the lake. There was a climbing wall, bike hire, walks and swimming lakeside. A huge adventure playground with toilets, a Roman villa, a great restaurant - all within minutes. Two supermarkets, one close to the lake and the other in the town gave plentiful options for food. The town is very attractive and has a long pedestrian street with outstanding restaurants (if you love Sushi go to Wangs, it was out of this world). It's a simple hour trip from Luxembourg city so could be done in a day but that wouldn't do it justice. You could also get to Trier in Germany (amazing city!) in about 45 minutes if a city trip was your thing. You should go!Guest review byJulieUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Berdorf is my favorite go-to location if I wanna go on a hiking weekend. It's about a three hour drive from where I live, so very doable for a weekendtrip. The entire Echternach region in beautiful (check out the Mullerthal Trail), but the region around Berdorf is especially beautiful. The forests around Berdorf all have those typical rock formations with stairs and ladders, little chasms etc that really make it so much more interesting than a normal forest hike. Beautiful gem in Luxemburg. Tiny, narrow streets of old town are astonishing. Colorful, clean, plenty of flowers. A place to enjoy. Parking is free from 6pm to 8 pm. Supermarket Cactus in walking distance from the old town.Guest review byJustyna
