- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 450 reviewsI loved the concept of staying in a cabin on an eco farm and having the staff fill my fridge with prepared meals for me to heat when ready. It combined the best aspects of camping without having to worry about meal prep or sleeping on the ground. My bed was extremely comfortable and the AC kept my room at a reasonable temperature. I thoroughly enjoyed going for walks around the farm (tip: bring hiking boots) and taking late afternoon dips in the pool, which had stunning views. I requested vegetarian meals and they were always delicious (also the portions were huge -- I was able to save some leftover food from my dinners to eat for lunch on the following days). I took a farm tour with Sophie on my last morning and it was so interesting to learn about the different plants and animals that live on the farm. All of the staff were extremely helpful, but Sophie really went out of her way to make my stay perfect. I am already dreaming about coming back again someday!Guest review byLolaGermany
- From $456.07 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 252 reviewsThis hotel really surpassed my expectations! Every member of staff was so polite and friendly and most even knew my name and room number. Dinner and breakfast was from a set menu, unlike the buffet meals I had experienced at other hotels. The food was unbelievable (especially the beef tenderloin) and was a beautiful candlelit meal by the sea. I arrived late, after lunch had been served, and there was no food but the chefs were so kind enough to make something just for me The infinity pool overlooking the beach was beautiful and the beach is more private and quieter here making it my preference over the nearby flic en flac beach. A fantastic experience, would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday by the sea! Thank you to all here for making my stay so memorableGuest review byShannonUnited Kingdom
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 6.9Pleasant - What previous guests thought, 553 reviewsExcellent service !!! the staff were excellent, including Mr Dave, Mr Benni, Lukmaan ,Nitesh , and the staff with the towels and entertainment area, Everyone is so polite, hospitable and helpful . The breakfast was good , the beach views were excellent , if you took a stroll up the beach the views are amazing . I travelled with 2 small kids ( aged 2 and 6 ) and they were so at home .The rooms were spacious enough to tuck away your luggage on shelves, and have a spacious room for the kids to be in . We opted for the Bed and Breakfast option , and it worked out great :)Guest review byKhadijaSouth Africa
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.0Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 772 reviewsThe best part for me was definitely the beatiful picture-perfect palm-fringed beach with Le Morne (and other mountains) as a backdrop AND the lush hotel gardens. Absolutely stunning! * Clean and comfortable room with a mini bar that was refilled daily. Also, thanks to Wahida for making our room look amazing every day! * Good food with a great variety *Gorgeous beach, many free water-sport activities, I really enjoyed the paddle-board * Friendly and attentive staffGuest review byMartinaSlovakia

- Scored out of 10, guest rating 8.9Excellent - What previous guests thought, 766 reviewsthe food at breakfast and dinner fell short for me, for the extra that you pay for meals i really think the food could be better. the bonus though was the separation of the halaal food from the non halaal food. that was highly appreciated.Guest review byabdullahBotswana

Flic'en'Flac is the best place to stay on Mauritius, especially if you're visiting Mauritius in July. North was windy, south rainy but west side just perfect. It is a nice, vaste sandy beach with pine trees and palm trees, nice hotels and resorts, bars, restaurants and street food.Guest review byAndrijaCroatia - 10.0

Tu beach is just amazing, the color of the water is impressive, in the public beach you have to possibility to see the see turtles. The place is a piece of paradise. Definitely worth to go and to spend some time there. I would recommend an hotel next to the le Morne beach most of the hotel do not have the possibility to eat or rent the sun bed just daily. Also I would recommend the experience of swimming with the dolphins that is offered almost everywhere.Guest review byAnnaItaly - 8.0

Great first time visit to the Island. Beautiful beaches with a multitude of activities for all ages. Christmas Day boat trip to Ile Aux Benitiers, which included a tasty braai (barbeque) swimming with dolphins and snorkeling around Crystal RockGuest review byRusselSouth Africa - 8.0

We liked the area close to the Riviere Noire Reserve and it was convenient for the quieter beaches on the south coast. We recommend a guided tour of the Ebony Forest Reserve. We had a fascinating day out with a very knowledgeable guide and saw a lot of birdlife; the views out to sea are also stunning. Be warned: driving in Mauritius is not easy, even with satnav! We got lost several times, especially around Port Louis. If you choose to go to Port Louis, we recommend using the local bus. There is a bus stop two minutes' walk from the apartment (shortly before London Way supermarket). You can pick up a bus at about 7.30 am and return on a 119 bus at 30 minutes past the hour from Immigration Square near the waterfront of Port Louis. If you want to eat out, the Happy Rajah restaurant on the main road serves good value Indian food. The fish thali is particularly tasty.Guest review byVirginiaItaly - 10.0

It's a properly rustic paradise area, away from the more fabricated hotel resorts. Lots of locals who know one another and it feels safe, if a little rough around the edges. It has its own cultural and geographical charm that seems to differentiate it from other parts of Mauritius. Lots of places to eat, a good supermarket - seems expensive for the area, but I think this is quite common. Good offers of boat hire to get over to Ile aux Benitiers, which is well worth it. Close proximity to the lovely Morne peninsular and Black River Gorges National Park and surrounds.Guest review byPaulUnited Kingdom - 10.0

this is amazing place, the view is breathtaking, the chalet is spacious, very calm, the food is satisfying and the staff is very supportive and helping. it is ideal for a short stay as if you would like to do more tours the location is bit far from everything and very challenging to reach. the best is to stay there and visit the nearby places around Chamarel.Guest review byDragicaUnited Arab Emirates - 10.0

We liked our chosen accommodation, we had a good view of the beach from our balcony, the staff were great and we want to go back to sample lunch at the Creole Shack! The beach was lovely and safe for swimming and there was a good variety of eateries from beach stalls to high end restaurants and all manner of cuisines. Everything is in walking distance and four km in land there is a very large mall being built and a new state of the art hospital. We will definitely be going back.Guest review byLesleyUnited Arab Emirates - 2.0
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel.
Financial exploitation is the title of this hotel. Financial exploitation defines the taxi drivers. Financial exploitation dominates the boat rental services. Financial exploitation extends even to the zoo. Exploitation is the main theme, and as a city, it offers nothing enjoyable.Guest review byMohamed Zaher - 8.0

At the Veranda Tamarin hotel - the only real turn-off was that only one tv channel was in English - BBC World. All others in French / Creole. No mainstream music channels. Tamarin is a small village, full of friendly people. The atmosphere is open and you get the sense of tranquility and safety. It is centrally located for South and West visiting. something for everyone.Guest review byNeilSouth Africa - 10.0
