It was impromptu trip to Kuching. We booked a car to travel around Kuching but since we arrived a bit late (10.30PM), i couldn't find any petrol station to fuel up the car. So if you plan to rent a car and arrived late night, please make sure the car have sufficient amount of petrol (at least to reach to hotel & fuel up next day). The food really awesome. We enjoyed seafood galore at Topspot Food Court. Do come early (7PM to 8PM) because we hardly see empty spot after 8PM. Do try Laksa Sarawak at Mom's Laksa Kopitiam with RM6 for normal bowl. Most must-see places are closing around 4-5PM. So start your day as early as possible. We didn't manage to see Orang Utan at Semenggoh. Its advisable to come for Orang Utan feeding time before 9AM & 3PM. If you're interested in cultural, Sarawak Cultural Village is a must. Come early so that you can catch 11.30 AM culture show instead of 12.00 noon. Bring along an umbrella or hats and water bottle to fuel up. It's so hot when i was there. If you're more to nature, book a trip to Bako National Park. We charted a boat at RM60 per person (RM10 entrance + RM50 return boat trip) until Pantai Tanjung Assam. 3-4 hours boat trip is sufficient enough for a visit or if you more adventures type, do try their walking trail. I didn't know that Kuching hosting some food festival in August so we a bit stuck in traffic jammed in the middle of the city since they didn't have designed parking & most of the cars been parked at the roadside.

Very nice place to relax, especially in the evening. The shops and vendors will opened and you can walk along the Sarawak river or take a boat bruise. Not very much for shopping.

The Sarawak Laksa only in Kuching has that good authentic taste. There is a nice small museum along the waterfront (free entrance). The short serene boat ride to cross over to the other side of the river bank where shops and shops of the famous Sarawak layered cakes awaits you. Visiting the Orang Utan sanctuary ( Semenggoh Sanctuary) was exciting and taking the boat ride out to the Bako National Park looking at the beautiful rain forest reserve, hiking interesting trails at times managed to catch glimpses of the Proboscis monkeys was thrilling and walking along the swamp next to the beach..if lucky...one get to see attractive unique crabs or shell fish.Amazing feeling.

Miri is known as oil City in Sarawak. Sunday we can all buy all sorts of things like vegetables, fruits ect. from pasar tamu. We can take a cab/grab to go around. We can go to Tusan beach.

Miri is really a beautiful place with all her natural bio diversity & charm. Adventure seekers would love to trekked down Mulu nature reserves or the largest limestone caves in Niah. The beaches are beautiful too & Lambir waterfalls are breathtaking. Farms & plantations are good places to visits with all the local fruits hardly found anywhere else. Food glorious food, there’s variety of local cuisines & international cuisines available & affordable. Last but not least the historical places are a must visits places in Miri & all of the states of Sarawak.

It was family weekend getaway to explore the city. The waterfront at night was great ambience. The trip to Sarawak Culture Village is a must as we can sum up all the different culture in Sarawak. The cat museum was only showcase anything to do with cat in art,music and etc. The view frm DBKU was breathtaking. The food at Topspot for seafood was excellent & affordable Mee Kolok Hj Salleh is a must Good range of food at Kopi O’ Corner Should try Aiskrim Gula Apung Only downfall was the national park & wildlife centre during weekend Will visit again to explore other places.

Besides the foods; laksa sarawak & kek lapis, I like the ethnic diversity that makes Kuching is so special. Observed that Sarawakians respect the differences which leads to social harmony there. Not to forget, all the 4 public transport drivers were very friendly & helpful. Good job guys.

The food was good especially the Sarawak laksa, kolo Mee, tomato Mee,aiskrim apong. The much touted hotspots located at the utc left much to be desired in their service. But ABC restaurant is highly recommended.dont miss their open market for hawker food. We managed to catch semangor wildlife sanctuary,matang sanctuary,sirikan market, Wong's pottery, the waterfront and cultural village. The ride to bako sanctuary was quite eventful but arrived after closing time so no ferry to bring us across although I heard the night wildlife is much spectacular there. Recommended to spend the night there to catch it. The pasir panjang beach near pasir pandak is also a spectacular sight.too much to see and do but not enough time. Don't miss Lundu for the world's biggest and tallest flower grows here. Before going brush up on your walking and hiking so getting around will be a breeze.

Between kl n kuching ,it's miles apart basically from the point view of culture n ethics value, kuching is beautiful place not so dense in populations people here are friendly and courteous, I really love to be here forever coz between kl n here i felt the way to live life is here in kuching Sarawak ,we don't he to travel the world to see everything, it's all here on your door step........ This is place where we should call nirvana

Quaint but historically imbued, with many colonial buildings still preserved, and the Granary across the road is a good evening oasis, I meant it has a diverse enough clientele to spend time with a few beers over, it is definitely transformed Sarawak
