We did nor stay long enough to give a true rating. But it has a great vibe to it and what struck us coming from SA was how clean it was. It is a place where I could be happy to retire. We can try and upload photos later as we have not yet downloaded them.

The Waterfront of Walvis Bay is quite a vibe on a Saturday...

The Waterfront of Walvis Bay is quite a vibe on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurants have a variety of delicious seafoods on the menu. I would recommend a boat trip from the Waterfront to see the diverse marine life of Walvis Bay, which include seals, dolphins, etc. A trip to the popular Dune 7, to try and climb one of the highest sand dunes is quite a treat. And off course, a guided tour on a quad bike through the sand dunes is quite and experience.

The room was very nice with a great bathroom. Towels and linen were top grade. Personnel handled us with respect and friendly. We had a great time at Omaruru. We had dinner in the bar which was very nice.

Henties was always a fishing destination.

Henties was always a fishing destination. The fishing is getting worse every year, and with the entire town infrastructure based on this fishing tourism industry, the powers that be need to take notice. You will soon loose this gem if you don't act now.

This is a residential area that includes vacation rentals.

This is a residential area that includes vacation rentals. It was quiet and felt safe. There are no shops. There are several large concrete pools that fill with seawater and are used for swimming. There is one small restaurant near the swimming area that is open limited hours during the off season.

Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2.

Wilhelmstal is just a tiny place along the B2. To reach Khan River Lodge you follow the signs that lead you 20 km from the tarred road B2 to the Lodge on sandy farm roads. The trip is no problem also for normal sedan cars. Food is offered at the lodge while self- catering is also a possibility. Their breakfast is very rich and nice. The lodge also offers game drives to their customers.

We would recommend that people visit Swakopmund.

We would recommend that people visit Swakopmund. It is a lovely place with the sand Dunes on one side and the ocean on the other. There are plenty of places to stay and plenty of restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights at Desert Breeze and would definitely stay there again if we are in the area. It is easy to get around Swakopmund. We ate at Altstadt Restaurant, The Tug Restaurant and Kucki's Pub and would recommend all three. They were great places, good service and great food.

Omaruru was a lovely surprise.

Omaruru was a lovely surprise. It was a short trip to break our journey on the way to Swakopmund. Such a lovely, beautiful town with the loveliest and friendly people. Great restaurants with german cuisine, and very very safe. We walked around for hours at night and felt so safe.

Best seafood in Namibia you will get at Fishy Corner- fresh and masterchef quality The Spar Henties is a shopping experience on its own. You will go in for 5 items and comes out with a trolly full of goodies. The weather, the people, the houses with their own unique character makes Henties Bay a must visit place.
