The hotel is amazing. Much better than the photos. It is 15min walk from the main Church and the market. The breakfast is really nice. The rooms are lovely with the balcony and chairs. There is a person who opens the gate for the parking. You will really like it. I am very picky path choosing hotels. The shopping is 15 minutes to same as supermarkets.

Location is just stunning, surrounded by beautiful savanna. All staff members were very attentive, the food was perfect. We had morning and afternoon game drives with Mosses, it was very interesting and we saw lions, chita, elephants, a lot of antilopes, rhinos and may others. The sky at night is just something not real, a lot of starts are visible.

We spent our first and last night in Namibia in this litte boutique hotel and do not regret it for a second. The rooms and bathrooms were big and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds, good aircon and even a some complimentary port wine and chocolate to make sure you were in a good mood when it was time for bed. Breakfast was good, served at the table and with müsli and yoghurt, bread and cooked breakfast of your choice. There were some parking lots close to the rooms, inside the gates. Everyone in the staff was so nice and we felt very much at home. We do recommend this little hotel if you ever stay in Windhoek.

Excellent rooms, immaculate clean. Fast check in, professional staff all around. Great rooftop bar with nice diverse food menu. Super sweet and professional waiters. There was a big group dining that evening in the corner, no hick up in service and staff went out of their way to accommodate other guest, putting terrace tables inside… really top top notch service minded crew in the rooftop bar! Spot on, please celebrate their contribution! Parking next to hotel, so convenient and located in / next to a mall. What else you need?

We managed to book a room for the same day arrival, and for the New Year night. The room was 100% conforming our wishes and expectations. A big flat-screen TV set, strong WiFi signal, all the furniture and equipment was in good working condition. Comfortable bed with highh quiality linen. Spacious parking for the guests. Good entertainment program and nice decorations at the restaurant for New Year.

Love the size of the room, very spacious and lots of mirrors which is handy for 2 women sharing a room to get ready. The pool was a lovely space. The food was excellent, we had lunch by the pool, pizza for tea with their pizza oven and breakfast, all great value and taste. Actually really impressed. All staff we encountered were lovely too.

Atmosphere and location is amazing! The facilities were clean and we had a wonderful room in a huge tent equipped with fridge and safe. Loved the bar area with a small water hole and beverages. We could not have their food as the kitchen was closed due to bank holiday but they still offered wraps and sandwiches.

The lodge is within an hours drive from Windhoek, so perfect for a weekend getaway. The staff is extremely accommodating for anything you need. Highly recommend the safari drive, and the spa massage. I could go walking into the reserve, which was brilliant.

Friendly and helpful people.

Friendly and helpful people. City very clean and roads much better than SA. Looking forward to going there again in March 2026. Cleanliness of Malls and some Lodges not up to standard and pest control needs attention.

The room was extremely comfortable and we would have loved to spend more time here. We booked the sunrise drive which was one of the highlights of our trip to Namibia. The sunrise went on forever and our guide was very informative. Surprisingly we were the only ones who chose the option that morning. The only downside was the restaurant. While the food was OK we had to sit inside next to a large mobile air conditioner. One staff member would move it so it didn’t blow directly on us and another would move it back. It was so strong it kept blowing our plastic water bottle over. A bit more sensitivity would have been welcome.

Besides what I already said, I really appreciated the good reading lights at the beds. So often the bed lights are useless. Namibgrens caters for everything, within a beautiful scenic surrounding. There is just no end!

i loved how safe the place is.

i loved how safe the place is. Our kids are young aged 7,4 and 2 years old. At first i was sceptical about them sleeping at the Gypsy wagon alone whilst we were in the other cabin about 20 meters away from them. But the kids actually enjoyed sleeping alone. Everything is just so perfetct and the creativity is on another level.

We had the pleasure of living in Namibia (Windhoek) for 2 years (with our children) in the 1990's and this trip back was a chance to share this time again with our children and to introduce Africa to our grandchildren. Windhoek has grown into a remarkably cosmopolitan city and Namibia itself is a very safe and easy country to tour. English is very widely spoken, accommodation is very reasonably priced and the wildlife is spectacular with Etosha a great national park to experience the big 5.

We stayed in this location mainly to visit Sossusvlei which is further south. Solitaire itself is a charming but tiny settlement - only a few buildings and a petrol station, however it has an amazing cafe serving "the world's best apple pie" and it was! Solitaire is about a 20 minute drive from Soft Adventure Camp at the Namib Naukluft Lodge.

The people were friendly and assisting when asked questions about the area and its places of interest. Sicilia restaurant the food was delicious, the pizza was the best. To get around town we took a walk, it was safe.

SOlitair mountain lodge is a beautiful lodge with an incredible setting. they have a beautiful pool and watering hole close by which brings animals in such as zebra and Gemsbok/Oryx. The rooms were comfortable and large and the space is neat and well maintained. friendly staff made it extra easy to check in. We definitelywould stay and extra night at this lodge.

The place is well situated and conveniently isolated to provide maximum enjoyment, the view is picturesque and calm. You have the freedom to prepare the food and enjoy it in a space that is well-organized and sufficient within one's needs. Easy access to the place with a small scenery to and from the place and one can also go on a sightseeing drive on good roads. The place is beautiful, excellently designed, well maintained and provides an exclusive intimate environment.
