They offered us free coffee in the morning, even though we dud not want a full breakfast. On one night, we had a barbecue and the staff arranged our table so neatly, they gave us everything we needed and in the end they did all cleaning of the dishes. We asked for a malva pudding desert and they gave it for free. They are super friendly. I am so happy we chose to stay here. I had a lovely chat with the owner and she is so great to talk to. Highly recommend staying here for everyone!

First and foremost I would want to highlight the excellent and friendly staff at Epacha. From start to finish, and in all aspects of the stay, the service was impeccable. Furthermore, we got a chance to connect with the Des Nel, the general manager, which was a truly unforgettable experience. The amount of experience and passion he has for wildlife if extraordinary, and would highly recommend hearing some of his stories should the opportunity present itself.
The lodge itself is fantastic, and has the right balance of seclusion and privacy, yet it still has all the key amenities and entertainment options to make for a great place to be in-between game drives.
I'd definitely visit again!

This place is great value for money.
This place is an economical option to stay in and still visit Etosha Safari Park for the day without having to spend US$200 dollars plus. The park gate is approx 80km to the park but the road between is fully paved and takes approx an hour. Its too long a day to stay before AND after if self driving but certainly comfortable staying one night and the other night closer or in the park.

We had spent the previous 2 nights in Etosha National Park accommodation as we had been informed this would be better for early start in mornings. The park was amazing but the accommodation was very poor.
Etosha Village was fabulous, beautifully spacious, beautifully clean and a lot less expensive than the national park. Staff were excellent, food exceptional. I'm sorry we couldn't stay longer.
The roads from Etosha to Windhoek are fully tarred, so an easy journey.

We particularly loved the beauty of the place, the comfort of the bedding, the attentiveness, and the warm welcome from the staff who go out of their way to ensure our comfort. Special mention to the chef, who takes the time and care to ask us how the meal is each evening, and especially to Vanessa, who was extremely kind and with whom we loved chatting.

Mondjilla is ideally placed to visit Etosha and we did a game drive on our first day then self drove on our second. The view from Mondjilla is stunning and there is a small pool to cool off in. The staff are lovely and Masie's food is delicious African cooking. The accommodation is comfortable with proper beds and bathrooms. Overall a great relaxing place to stay.

Everything is perfect except it is very expensive. Really a 5-star accommodation in any perspective.
Regarding animal sighting, we saw an elephant in distant when we were having our lunch. There is also a waterhole that you can view from restaurants or walk very close. Higher chance seeing rarer animals like lions and Kudu.

Great one bedroom chalet with a free standing tub. The resort features tranquil green spaces and a few pools, which are perfect after a long day of driving on a safari in the heat!
At evening there is also a musical performance from the choir of the hotel which added so much more to the experience. Amazing signers!

A literal oasis in a very hot dry area. Attractive chalets. Lovely pool and lapa. Met with welcome drinks. Fabulous staff. They packed lovely breakfasts for us and made a lovely fire. Really very pleasant.

A very convenient place to stay if you wanted to visit Etosha and wanted to stay outside the park. Good food and pleasant surroundings. We stayed in the tents but maybe would stay in the chalets next time

We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to...
We spent two nights here…it was the right amount of time to view animals in Etosha National Park. The terrain here (unlike Numatoni) is vast and flat. Animals are few and far between but with persistance and great binoculars we spotted a Black Rhinocerous, elephants, zebra, springbok, oryx, giraffe, ostriches, and 1 lion, all during daylight hours. The food is best OUTSIDE the park. There is NO fuel in the ENTIRE park! The “Trading Post” is the nearest fuel to this village (less than 10km). Fuel is CRITICAL for planning in rural Namibia!

There is quite a bit to see in Outjo and the surrounding area. Outjo itself is a pleasant small town and it is within easy reach of the Etosha National Park, Twyfelfontein, the Petrified Forest and Vingerklip.

We were disappointed by the extremely bad roads in the park. There is no information about the rugged dirt roads in the park. We were happy to leave the park without an accident or car broken. No good for self drive!

Outjo is not a very clean town but ideal stop over for travelers on their way to or from Etosha. Visitors can also by essential supplies for their on-going travels. An excellent and reasonably priced place to eat is at the Farmhouse Boutique in town, whether breakfast, lunch or dinner under the shady trees.
