I was on a trip to explore family "roots" and ancestry in Nordland. Sandnessjoen was fairly centrally situated for the surrounding sites I wanted to visit. Unfortunately, I didn't schedule sufficient time to do all the things I wanted to do. If I had it to do again, I would stay at least a couple days longer - maybe more.

Fantastic location in Lofoten. This was our home base as we explored the islands. The cabin was cozy - we booked both rooms in the Rorbu. As some people mentioned, the decor was a bit dated, but honestly I felt that gave it some charm. Otherwise the beds were comfy and the cabin was nice and warm. Also the breakfast spread was fantastic - felt very much like we were spending time at home.
