This gem of a hotel requires a little driving over beautiful mountain roads. You are rewarded with an authentic Norwegian experience, wood fire and warm hospitality. The food was excellent and the rooms small but very comfortable. We would go back in a heartbeat!

Magical property! The history of the buildings and interior design is fascinating. A beautiful, serene haven after 8 days of expansive car travel in this amazing country. The owner, chef and staff were outstanding; friendly, informative, gracious and fun! The food was world class. We cannot wait to return…. Takk for such a beautiful stay.

The location is unbeatable! The staff is very nice and the food is delicious. The rooms are very cozy. No need to book a room with bathroom, as there are adequate facilities in the shared spaces.
