The house has amazing private collection with eastern atomsphere. Everything went smoothly and my family all believe it is the best apartment they ever stayed — highly recommended.

Easy to find as on the Highway. Easy access to Oamaru which was a very interesting place and well worth exploring. Greeting on reception was lovely, the free milk was a nice touch, the bed and unit were very comfortable and with a lounge with double bed, another bedroom with double bed, kitchen area, sofa and dining table, what more could you want? Don’t be put off by the exterior - it looks basic and functional from outside but it is well decorated and furnished inside.

The rooms were modern, clean and very well equipped. The bathroom and shower were excellent. It was a 5 minute walk to the pub which did fantastic food. We were breaking our journey , but the Clay Cliffs nearby were worth the 15 minute drive - spectacular.
Definitely recommend this accomodation 100%

I had visited Oamaru as a child but the heritage precinct...
I had visited Oamaru as a child but the heritage precinct was not developed the way it is today. This is a fabulous asset to the city as is the harbour - I am definitely coming back for a longer stay!

The place is great for chilling out and resting if needed.Has a nice pub that does meals,has amenities enough for any stay and the countryside is well worth exploring,Clay Cliffs,Glider trips,Hot Pools,great especially at night,the night skies are beautiful,Cycle trips and tracks and Salmon Farm just north of Omarama,feed the fish,try catch your own and a nice cafe to enjoy the fish!

The motel was spacious,clean and so close to everything.
The walks were amazing and the Tavern,Fish Wife eateries were amazing with great service and friendly staff.
We will be back many times.

We wanted to take a shorter loop from Dunedin via Oamaru...
We wanted to take a shorter loop from Dunedin via Oamaru Timaru and Lake Tekapo back to Oamaru and Dunedin. First time from Omarama, by Lake Benmore.route, so Kurow was a convenient overnight stop to get back to Dundein before midday. A good road all the way, but Kurow is not a destination.

Hampden is a great place to visit.
Hampden is a great place to visit. We love the Moeraki Boulders.
The Moeraki Tavern is a must for Fish and Chips and the lamb shanks were to die for.
Vanessa's Cafe was lovely for breakfast and has a great selection of pies and muffins and everything else.
The Moeraki Cafe and Gift Shop has one of the best gift shops I've seen in New Zealand for neat and meaningful souvenirs.

There is not a lot there but for one or two nights while...
There is not a lot there but for one or two nights while doing more exploring it is perfect. the Pub is right there staff friendly and food was great. There is a great coffee van just down the road. Property very clean and large compared to most. All on ground level also . Oh there is a golf course behind .

I loved the remoteness of the Lavender Farm.
I loved the remoteness of the Lavender Farm. Take a good lot of supplies with you, everything you would need for yourself, apart from toiletries and tea/coffee and breakfast. You don’t want to be leaving the Dome once you arrive as it is too special an area, to miss out by going into Naseby for the evening, or elsewhere. Road is unmade so drive carefully.

The beach ( Campbells Bay) was just stunning for walking...
The beach ( Campbells Bay) was just stunning for walking and a quick dip. Very sheltered.
Loved chatting to the locals at the market, the dairy and the owners of Kakanui Tomatoes. All so incredibly friendly .
We took our bikes which was great for looking around because the town is quite spread out .
We are coming back

Easy self walking tour around the old town with plenty of eating out/ shopping options in main street of town as well. Appears to be a safe quiet town in which to wander about day/evening. Friendly staff at Scott’s waterfront brewery offering excellent pizzas and selection of wines/beers.

We lived in Omarama approximately 30 years ago. It was lovely to see the progress in the town. There is plenty of places to eat out and all of them offer a good range of food, with friendly efficient staff.
