This is a gem. Such an amazing history and he staff go out of their way to show off the property including the amazing chapel on site which is literally like being transported to Italy or France. And don’t start me on the beautiful chocolates made on site and provided in the rooms on arrival

I liked all the history around the walls, photos were really interesting from the past. The manager was super friendly and great fun.

Spacious rooms, nice decor filled with penguins. The breakfast was excellent and very comfortable. The house was so nice and close to the centre of Oamaru that it was a waste of one night. I would like to stay for 2-3 nights next time!
