People often say, there's no place like home. But there is a place like home, and that's Hotel Casa Basa. We had such a wonderful time here! Clearly the best hotel we've seen. Such incredibly kind people. Super clean rooms, excellent service,good quit location and a delicious breakfast. Also, they're super sweet to the animals. We hope to come back one day!

Loved waking up to the sea view and how close it was to everything. Right at the heart of General Luna, might get a bit noisy which is normal for a place that is very central but they provided earplugs. The room was clean and relaxing. Would definitely recommend if you want to be in a convenient location!

We loved the new hotel, this was our second stay in a week.the rooms were 1st class and the pool area was fantastic with very clean water and maintained with filters. We ate most of our meals at the pool. The pizza was fantastic. Our room was a large corner unit with a king bed and seating area. Lots of parking with the underground garage available. The staff were the best part of our experience.

This is a prime location especially for people who are visiting Siargao for the first time as it's perfectly situated between the shops, restaurants and Cloud-9. They have a free Tuktuk service as well. The staffs are very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a deluxe room which is the perfect size for two people. It's missing a balcony to dry your wet clothes but we made it work. We enjoyed the breakfast spread and the view. My favourite part is the landscaping - the plants are lush and well-taken cared of.

Our stay was excellent. I was there to assist our son post surgery. The staff could not have done more for us. The hotel is brand new. The new 8 seater van was perfect to take us and luggage to the airport. The breakfasts were good.

If you are like us and appreciate more the breathtaking location, the remoteness and beautiful nature of the surroundings, I strongly advice you to go ahead and book 2-3 days in this peaceful place. You will not have access to running water most of the time, and electricity might fail. In our opinion these are secondary factors when visiting locations like this. Food cooked by Clarisa was exceptional considering the location but might be subjected to availability. Transport directly to the accommodation can be arranged with Clarisa (3,000php from Dapa). Alternatively, you can go via a ferry from Dapa to Socorro port, but keep in mind the limited frequency: • Socorro → Dapa: 05:15 AM, 08:15 AM, 11:45 AM • Dapa → Socorro: 05:15 AM, 08:15 AM, 02:45 PM Once in the resort we did the following activities: - kayaking in the lagoon. Very relaxing. You can do birdwatching and you might find a few big jellyfish. - Small hike to the beach. You will go inland and cross to the other side, 5 min slippery walk. From there, you can access the other side of the resort, where there are bungalows. - Island hopping tour, we rent a boat for 5h for 2,000php. They dropped us in an additional tour with a small boat that took us to the jellyfish sanctuary (best season is February-April) and the Sohoton Cove. With the “main” boat we visited other resorts and remote beautiful beaches.

General Luna is a typical rural Filipino town but is transformed into a tourist friendly place. At daytime it seems typical but at nighttime it is alive as there are establishments where tourist can hang out.

Transportation was convenient to and from the apartment. Very cost effective. I learned of and utilized "tricycles" and "multi cabs". This was easy for me since I was in the company of a lady who spoke the local language. I recommend use of a translator or as I did, a special friend who speaks the language. I also disagree with booking.coms 3 out of 5 review. That is a low score compared to my experience.

Nothing much but surfing. Some popular restaurants are hype. The French bakery near the Surf area serves really really good breadz croissants, sourdough and other food. The burger place we went to is much much better than shake shack. The coffee place we tried serves much much better coffee than starbucks and zus.

San Isidro and the remaining places of North Siargao really...

San Isidro and the remaining places of North Siargao really stays true to their claims as the "soul" of the island. San Isidro's simplicity and its location might be a perfect location if you want to find yourself in a quiet and relaxing place. I adore being close to Pacifico which is like more or less 5 minutes motor drive.

At first I kinda did not like the way going to the exact place, but when we found out the other way/easiest way, we felt relieved. The owner was very accommodating and also the in-charge cum reservation/receptionist, she was very kind and helpful, she had given us all the information regarding the places where we should go and enjoy. It was a very short stay but a worthy one, very affordable and family friendly homestay.

Burgos is a quiet place with easy access to Pacifico Beach for surfing and to the main attractions in the north, with motorbike rentals, fresh fish and fruit markets, and great restaurants that will grill the fish you buy for you.

Dapa was not our destination just a pass through.

Dapa was not our destination just a pass through. I stayed at Club Tara Near Sohoton Cove. The reason for the overnight stay in Dapa was because the PAL flight landed after the last ferry from Dapa to Socorro. Remember to research the ferry times for Dapa to Socorro. Do not pay P 5k from Dapa for a ferry. This is a scam. This review is from April 2022 and the area was hit with a typhoon in December 2021 and is opening back up after the pandemic.

I was too early for good waves, but is an amazing place! The island is so beautiful, the people is great! Is a really save place and friendly. Local vendors do not bother you. Lot of traffic, but good vibes all the time! Love Siargao

Many great restaurants and beautiful beaches close by with lots of coconut trees everywhere. A lot going on but still not too crowded and you can find quiet locations as well. But it is not a nice city for walking around. Lots of scooters everywhere and no sidewalks.

Only stayed overnight as we were traveling from Surigao down...

Only stayed overnight as we were traveling from Surigao down to Pantukan wanted to break up the long drive south ! Butuan was a very busy city and lots of traffic. smog was bad due to the heat and high volume if traffic .We only visited the mall which was like every other mall ! We went to a pizza restaurant looking for alternative and guess what they only had pizza available everything else was off the menu ! But far play the pizza was awesome and very filling ! So 10/10 guys
