This is a small hotel ran by mostly family with a few staff. This gives the hotel a very comfortable and homey feel. The breakfast options are all delicious especially the tocino and longganisa (they don't use red food dye!) All the staff and owners are wonderful and my family had such a cozy stay. The shuttle service to the beach was always available and the staff went above and beyond to help me get a cake for my dad at 11pm at night.

Such a great place to stay! Highly recommended if you are visiting Puerto Galera. It is not that far from White Beach and very easy to get a tricycle or just simply walk. I preferred the location because you have peace and quite when you want it, then an easy way to get to the more touristy areas of Puerto Galera.

The main reason why you should book this property is the owner. Florian is a great guy who will invite you to join him and his friends for trips or beers. The place is circa 200 meters from the beach which is perfect because it’s really calm and quite there. And the in-house restaurant is really good and cheap. Florian is a pro chef/butcher and it shows.

We had a wonderful stay at V Star Calapan. The owner and staff were incredibly accommodating, making sure all our needs were met with a smile. We arrived in Puerto Galera a lot later than expected and received a lovely friendly phone call from the staff asking if we were ok and checking to see if we needed help on the way to the accommodation. All the staff were so friendly and helpful if we asked anything. They helped us book snorkeling and island hopping trips and also arranged for us to have our ferry tickets (for when we had to leave) delivered to the resort. They then brought these up to our room. We were lucky enough to be invited to the Christmas parties and have the delicious food, including fresh yellow fin tuna sashimi. We loved the ocean view from the 4th floor shared balcony and from the balcony right outside our 3rd floor room and the fact Playa Blanca has a swimming pool that also looks directly out to the ocean. The location of Playa Blanca is down the quieter end of White Beach so it is not noisy at night and it is still within walking distance to restaurants. It is also about a 10 minute walk up to the main street if you need to go to the shops up there. We did some snorkeling outside the resort that was ok, but make sure you take a snorkeling trip to the Coral Gardens. The snorkeling there is amazing. We would definitely stay at Playa Blanca again as the value for money was great and the atmosphere was friendly and relaxing. The owners of Playa Blanca as well as the staff made the holiday fantastic.

This resort lived up to our expectations. A great diving location, experienced dive guides and very healthy coral and sea life. The staff at the resort were very friendly and helpfully. Dive boat crews looked after our gear after each dive and at the end of the day it was secured locked away. Our initial contact was with a wonderful lady, Allison, who arranged effortless transportation connections with car and ferry from Manila Airport.

There are basically two distinct parts of Puerto Galera…..

There are basically two distinct parts of Puerto Galera…..Sabang which has no beach but is a very pretty ocean side area, a lot of dive resorts and diving schools and enough restaurants and night clubs. White Beach is the other resort…..more restaurants, more tourist shopping options, a lovely beach and beach activity and water sport options. The two resorts are about 12km apart….. so choose one or the other to stay but try to visit both areas during your visit.

The location was really near Robinson shopping area , staff were nice , and the place was clean the aircon and the parking is a little bit concern . Highly recommendable for 3-4 guest , we are planning to book again the location but different apartment please with good aircon and safe parking please .

San Jose is an underrated province when it comes to tourism. Upon visiting the area, it holds a lot of places to discover for hiking, swimming and biking. Just a few hours away from Manila, this is truly a relaxing place you can go to escape the hustle and bustle of the city!

Located on the island of Mindoro, this place is not as frequently visited by tourists as other locations in the Philippines. It is very peaceful here and the people and their lifestyle is more pure. Also a great place to visit when you want to dive the Apo reef.

Calapan was a small city.

Calapan was a small city. But there are plenty of food chains and supermarket where you can have your needs. Although the mode of transportation in the city was tricycle, you should know the location where you are going. Some of the drivers charge higher than normal if they sense that you are new to the place. We go there for a concert so we are not able to visit their famous beaches and parks.

Puerto Galera is a small town in the North of Mindoro.

Puerto Galera is a small town in the North of Mindoro. There are a few spots to visit not too far away : the Mangyan Village next to Amani beach, a few water falls such as Tamaraw Falls along the road to Calipan and further south the Tukuran Falls (last part of the trip is done on cart pulled by a carabao) and the Infinity Farm. It is also worth to visit the Puerto Galera Mangrove Conservation. White beach with lots of amusements (jet ski, banana boat, island hopping, etc) and lots of restaurant along the beach.
