The city is amazing, and modern.
The city is amazing, and modern. I thought that there would be more traffic, but my rides were smooth. I went in the summer it was kinda hot in the noon and the afternoon, but the weather at night hit in the right spot. There are services everywhere, and people there are open-minded. A very nice small city presenting great views of the desert on one hand and an oasis on the other... There is a very nice park for families on a mountain. Must visit during the day as well as the night. During the day, you can have a walk in the desert and during the night, you can have a breathtaking view of the city. On the way from Makkah to Riyadh, we can stay at Ad Dawadimi but few things need to keep in mind. The road (Highway 50) is not smooth as Highway 80 towards Riyadh. At night there will have no car on the road so driving alone will be little scary and risky (no one will be there to support), even no locality besides the road. However, once you reach in the town, you will feel good. It is a very good town where you will find all famous mall and fast food restaurant. What to do in the concrete jungle in the heat other than visit malls and restaurants. there is Diriyah which is nice Bujairi terrace but you have a minimum entrance fee of SAR50/person just to enter - can be redeemed in any restaurants.
