Just like any other Saudi town - run down and nothing really...

Just like any other Saudi town - run down and nothing really to do. Mall was ok - very basic thou. Castle and fort was closed despite saying online that it was open. No signage anywhere so you have to use google maps for everything. The entire area needs a re vamp if tourism is expected

Tayma is off the beaten location in Saudi Arabia.

Tayma is off the beaten location in Saudi Arabia. It has few but very important sites of Saudi Arabian history from Iron age. Most important are 3000 years old Ancient Temple of Salm and much older Haddaj well which is one of the largest in world. I highly recommend Tayma.

There's some good snorkeling at various points along the corniche with very easy access. There are loads of restaurants in the city but they're generally very basic. It was a challenge to find anywhere with a pleasant atmosphere.

Middle size city with a few nice locations such as the Park...

Middle size city with a few nice locations such as the Park Mall and the castle. As a medium size city, nice to get a feeling of Saudi Arabia outside the (very) big cities. More spectacular is driving to Sharma on the coast and visit the new city NEOM or Wadi al Disah towards Duba. Both are about 200km over good roads through the dessert.

Umm Lajj is projected as Maldives of Red sea. However it has the potential to become Maldives of Red sea. Right now it is not. There is no boat ride to the sea. It is currently closed due to Red sea development project.

Tabuk is very Historical Place and within 300 kms from Tabuk...

Tabuk is very Historical Place and within 300 kms from Tabuk so many other historical places available which one must visit i. e Madyan , Madaen Saleh,Moses well, jabal al Loz. Tabuk weather in september is good.Temperature reduced now. Prophet Masjid also in Tabuk whee He stayed and prayed during Tabuk battle.
