This was my second stay at Penzion Turzov in the last year and both trips were fantastic. You cannot find a cozier place in more beautiful surroundings. It offers compete tranquility without being totally isolated. The small lake behind the property is a wonderful local picnic and swimming spot. You can have it all to yourself with your morning coffee. More importantly, Karolina and Katalina went above and beyond to help me find and communicate with some local family connections and I was very appreciative of their support and enthusiasm :)

I came to see the castle, but I did not realize there was a walled in Cathedral! This hotel is on the grounds of the cathedral. I am currently traveling the world and I’ve never stayed in a place like this. Very unique. Eddie was awesome and he had one of my favorite Beers at the bar. Alena was intriguing as well. I think she may have been in charge. I wish I could’ve spent more time talking to her.

It is a great, comfy apartment with a nice view of the tower. It offers particularly great sleep and privacy. The kitchen is a nice add-on. The owners are friendly and helpful. The area has great nature, and one of the most iconic medieval castles in Slovakia sits just on top of the hill. In the downstairs outside private area, there is plenty of space for kids to play or to relax and enjoy the time.
