I liked everything and everyone. Dona Helena was a fantastic host. Me and my partner could not ask for a better place. We were safe and blessed to be there. Loved this small boutique hotel. Run by a dedicated family since its inception and it has everything you need in a hotel. The service is beyond exceptional. The wifi, air conditioning, showers, large rooms, and continental breakfast are perfect and the location is within walking distance of many restaurants and local sites. They even have a small bar with a great selection and my favourite , São Tomé national beer. Highly recommended.

Hard to find anything bad to say about this hotel - everything works well. The manager is very hands on and obviously well liked by her staff and it translates into an excellent experience throughout. There are copious common spaces to hand out and the rooms are spacious. The restaurant and bar were also good experiences. It was very convenient to. the airport and the airport transfers worked very well.

We enjoyed our last two days in São Tomé at Hotel Praia. We had stayed there already a night prior to our journey to the island of Rolas. It was nice to back in civilization after our Rolas trip. Nice to have everything functioning and working well. Great shower, nice bed, everything clean! The front desk personnel was very friendly and accommodating (especially Mr Helder, who, amongst other things, took care of our taxi requests). The salt-water pool is nice and big. Great to be so close to the airport. The restaurant serves a great free breakfast and dinners were good, too. We would go back there!

The rooms and spacious and clean, with nice en-suite bathroom. We were able to exchange some euros into dobras as well, which was very handy! There was also a delicious breakfast for us the next morning, with fresh bread, fruits, eggs and butter and delicious coffee and tea.
