A calm and pleasant place to stay. There was both an indoor and outdoor pool as well as a sauna. The reception staff were very helpful and even offered to lend us their personal phone for an important call. Very comfortable and welcoming – we really enjoyed our stay!

Needles isn't an attractive town.
Needles isn't an attractive town. It is the only feasible option though, if you want to visit The Hole In The Wall, and Mitchell's Caverns as both sites are really remote from towns and cities. It's also on Route 66, so I suppose it's convenient for that.

The Wagon Wheel restaurant is amazing! The food is tasty and service is efficient and friendly. I'd stop in Needles just to eat there. Getting around Needles is easy and getting on/off Rt40 is easy.

The area is quiet at night.
The area is quiet at night. No smoking allowed on the property. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in a 3 bed suite with one king and two queens. We stayed in room 207. There's 2 bathrooms. A refrigerator and a microwave. It's pet friendly. The two air conditioners work really well. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
If you're planning a longer trip, look beyond Dead Mountains and set off to explore the whole country!
