The Red Roof Inn in Needles is the best managed hotel we have stayed in during our 12-month worldwide adventure. Why? Because our host, Sam, manages the hotel with an eagle eye to detail, and a wide and friendly smile. She set the tone with her warm welcome on check-in and, throughout our stay, worked hard to ensure our comfort. No request was too big; none too small. Customer service was 10 X 10! Every little thing was sparkling clean from the lint filter in the self-serve dryer to our supersized kingbedded room which was very comfortable with a cushy armchair, and plenty of clothes storage. Climate control, TV and wifi were excellent. Plenty of hot water and good water pressure. EXCELLENT value for money. We have stayed in hotels that cost twice as much but provided fewer amenities and minimal service. Yes, it’s a little dated - so what? It’s a great hotel and a great price.

The Wagon Wheel restaurant is amazing!
The Wagon Wheel restaurant is amazing! The food is tasty and service is efficient and friendly. I'd stop in Needles just to eat there. Getting around Needles is easy and getting on/off Rt40 is easy.

The area is quiet at night.
The area is quiet at night. No smoking allowed on the property. The rooms are spacious and the beds are comfortable. We stayed in a 3 bed suite with one king and two queens. We stayed in room 207. There's 2 bathrooms. A refrigerator and a microwave. It's pet friendly. The two air conditioners work really well. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Needles has the appearance of a semi ghost town as if the economy has dropped out. Of course I was there on a Sunday of a holiday weekend (Presidents day) .
There is one gem of a restaurant I highly recommend for the food, although the ambiance is nothing special,
