The charming island of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts, also known as The Vineyard, is a famous summer colony situated south of Cape Cod on the Atlantic Ocean. Popular with keeping low-profile celebrities, the island is a perfect destination for beach relaxation, fishing trips and hiking the cliffs.

There you can rent a 4x4 and drive to see the Vineyard’s lighthouses, including the Gay Head Lighthouse in Aquinnah located next to the cliffs going by the same name.
Other island activities include horseback riding, cycling, golfing and, of course, sailing. You can practice the latter in Martha’s Vineyard’s town of Edgartown, an old whaling port and the location for the filming of Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.
