"North Conway is a lovely town nestled in the White Mountains. But be warned-- I'm biased as I was raised there. Since then (long ago), it has built up more to cater to tourists, with the two local grocery stores replaced with big chains farther out on the strip. The beauty spots I enjoyed with friends in my youth have also been monetized and crowded. Mt Cranmore (the ski slope in town) has built up a lot of condos around it so you can no longer see the mountain from the base! Housing costs have gone through the roof because of second home owners such that people who work there cannot afford to live there. As a result, there is a challenge to staff hospitality so not all restaurants are open seven days a week for b/l/dinner. Despite all this, it is still gorgeous, especially if you travel north and take in the scenery along Rt 16. Very blessed to have had a Norman Rockwell childhood in this gorgeous part of the world."

"We were in Lincoln for the Highland Games. We live the area. Reminds us of home. We are excited for further developments that are planned - new buildings, businesses and the gondola linking the River Walk resort to the mountain base, which will ease the pressure on lack of parking space. We loved Loon Mountain resort where we enjoyed seminars in the main hotel rooms but also the gondola ride up the mountain. Views were spectacular and the ride was smooth and quiet. Very peaceful. We ate in the Italian restaurant one night and Rhythm the next night, both within River Walk resort. We have visited the town of Lincoln previously so, yes, it was easy to get around. Plenty shops and restaurants. We also enjoyed two visits to the Seven Birches Winery. We can’t think of anything we would avoid on our next visit."

"I have nothing negative to say. We were completely and pleasantly surprised by how much we enjoyed the community center pool and amenities. Don’t forget to pack spices, condiments and food containers if you plan to cook. We used gallon size ziplock bags as an alternative, as we forgot to pack containers. It felt like home, we were comfortable and slept great! Cook on the grill, light a campfire, relax, come and go and just enjoy this quaint, quiet location! I promise you’ll take a deep breath and find some peace while you’re there! We LOVED the Schoolhouse and Covered Bridge Farm Table restaurants! The schoolhouse is all outdoors but covered and has a beautiful Mountain View. Amazing food at both locations. There is a grocery store and Walmart not far. We went rock hounding at the rivers and fell in the water and loved every minute of it! Phone service in the area is poor but great at the house. We were able to use navigation successfully in the car though and didn’t get lost at all!"

Everything From the easy check in instructions to the beautiful decor of the lodge, the ambience, all the perfect little details and items the hosts have trusted there guests to use. They really have thought of everything! The room was immaculate and in keeping with the area I couldn’t of asked for a more perfect stay my only regret was I didn’t stay longer! But I’ll be back!
