NetherlandsThe Inn is really hidden away from the main roads but that just adds to its charms. The room was lovely, very clean and cosy, with the most comfy bed we had through the all trip. The owner and his team were very welcoming and warm and made possible for us to have a bite even if we got there almost at closing time. There is a self service breakfast area with coffee, bagels and cereals which was very clean and convenient. Definitely a very pleasant stay!

Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby.
Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.

Beautiful area and great local restaurant (Chappies) and coffee at Watersheds. Roxbury quirky but basic facilities. Cycling from cycle outlet in Stamford was great way to see countryside and wildlife - we got lucky and saw a pair of Golden Eagles! 🦅

we had a wonderful time to sad it was too short everything...
we had a wonderful time to sad it was too short everything was great the only thing that was a bit annoying was the wood for the fireplace it wasn’t dry so it took us a little bit longer to star the fire but no big deal. except the weather was to windy the days that we stayed in, wish we can enjoy the outdoors Also I recommend you to buy all groceries and everything you need so you can cook, stay in and enjoy the place , everything is really far away at least 30 min .

I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful.
I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful. The view of the mountains was really nice. The Windham Path was a peaceful, country trek. I had dinner at the Prominence restaurant. The staff (all of them) were so attentive,helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant dining experience.

Wind is a nice place to stay.
Wind is a nice place to stay. It is a classy type of a town: somewhat well to do versus other Catskill towns where houses are incomplete and old cars sit in the yard. Things are more expensive in Windham. The towns people plant beautiful flowers all over and it provides great photo opportunities. You will feel very safe in this area as well as most areas in the Catskills.
