Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby.
Cozy & friendly town with everything you need nearby. There’s even a lovely wine & spirits store down the way. The winery is only open on weekends and with late hours- not conducive to Friday 11AM checkout times. Also, beware of the 55 MPH maximum speed limit with frequent speed traps & State Troopers fishing for tourists to ticket. They ask you a TON of questions (where you’re staying, where you’re headed, etc.) & then ticket you. That part is rather unpleasant.

Beautiful area and great local restaurant (Chappies) and coffee at Watersheds. Roxbury quirky but basic facilities. Cycling from cycle outlet in Stamford was great way to see countryside and wildlife - we got lucky and saw a pair of Golden Eagles! 🦅

This area is gorgeous in the summertime.
This area is gorgeous in the summertime. Our host told us that during the week is best because people usually throng the area on the weekends, starting with Thursday. There are so many stunning views. There are many beautiful homes, and a number that are abandoned - which is sad to see. This area is nestled between Hunter and Windham mountains, so you can get your ski on in multiple places within a short driving distance.

we had a wonderful time to sad it was too short everything was great the only thing that was a bit annoying was the wood for the fireplace it wasn’t dry so it took us a little bit longer to star the fire but no big deal. except the weather was to windy the days that we stayed in, wish we can enjoy the outdoors Also I recommend you to buy all groceries and everything you need so you can cook, stay in and enjoy the place , everything is really far away at least 30 min .

I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful.
I was only there for a day but the area was very beautiful. The view of the mountains was really nice. The Windham Path was a peaceful, country trek. I had dinner at the Prominence restaurant. The staff (all of them) were so attentive,helpful and friendly. It was a pleasant dining experience.

The pool was amazing! The drinks pool side were yummy! The staff is friendly. One of the owners personally brought me to the pool. It was my second time here this year. We have 2 more dates booked for next year. I’d highly recommend coming in the summer to enjoy the pool.

Wind is a nice place to stay.
Wind is a nice place to stay. It is a classy type of a town: somewhat well to do versus other Catskill towns where houses are incomplete and old cars sit in the yard. Things are more expensive in Windham. The towns people plant beautiful flowers all over and it provides great photo opportunities. You will feel very safe in this area as well as most areas in the Catskills.

Loved our room. We were away for our 40th anniversary.
Loved our room. We were away for our 40th anniversary. Though it was a very rainy weekend, we were able to find shopping and food and we were able to relax in our room. Would have loved to walk the trails and sit by the pool but the weather did not cooperate for that. We will just have to go back and try again. Such attention to detail is going into this hotel. The owners are so proud of the facility and it shows.
