Nice location, near the beach and near the town of La Pedrera. Walking distance to a small grocery store. Quiet and peaceful, with a nice garden, a small private terras, a common BBQ area and swimming pool. The hosts are super friendly, willing to help you with anything, and provide you with useful information about the area. We stayed in the smallest studio, so the kitchenette is small but well equipped. Very modern and clean interior, with a comfy bed. Private parking.

Our executive villa was great, very secure, spacious, comfy bed, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor area with hammock & big grill, beach chairs and umbrella provided, access to pool and spa area, hot stone massage was great. Just 15 min walk to town and beaches. Mariana and Maria were amazing hosts and couldn’t have done more to help us.

Visited Punta del Diablo at the beginning of December, still not high season, not warm enough, and quite empty. One night and one day were enough to visit the village and walk around the beaches! Beware of having cash with you, many lodgings and commerces don't accept credit cards as a payment method. The beaches and landscapes are beautiful, the people are super nice and the village has its own rustic charm.

Wonderful, quite, safe town.

Wonderful, quite, safe town. Great taxi service and very safe for walking. Great restaurants. The people are amazingly friendly. If you don't have a car you'll either taxi or walk. I got in lots of walking and loved it. There are several beaches out along Botavara street. I'm sure there are some super upscale places, but I was there for the local vibe, which I got. Note: I was there during the off-season. It's pretty quiet.

Nancy and Marco are the best hosts we could have hoped for!

Nancy and Marco are the best hosts we could have hoped for! They made us feel perfectly welcome. Their hospitality was incredible - they were always offering us snacks, drinks and indulgences (MJ), all freely shared. Breakfast was large, filling, healthy (so much fruit!) and always ready so quickly when we emerged from our room. We already miss Marco's friendly greetings and coffee refills! And laughing with Nancy and the silly cats and dogs. It's especially amazing because we barely shared a common language, but their warmth as people is unmistakable. We spent happy hours on the generous front balcony, watching the beach and the cats and dogs while listening to the family and other guests in the houuse behind us - it felt like home. You can reach Cabo Polonio by a lovely 15 min walk along the beach - don't be dummies like us and walk the sandy truck road instead!

There is a pool and hot tub. The beach is accessible by car. Facility is old but has all the amenities. Water in sink was cold. Shower fine. We ate at Tano which was very good. Take time to meander the beach and the town-- good photo ops.

Beautiful place with amazing beaches.

Beautiful place with amazing beaches. There should be more options to eat at a more reasonable price, as the bars there are crazy, trying to earn in two months of summer, the money for them to live the entire year. The beaches are very nice, with oceanic green and blue water - Just be careful that some of the beaches are dangerous because the water is too deep and too wavy, ideal for surfers.

Stargazing was unbelievable, never seen that many stars in the sky anywhere else before, The sea Lion colony is awesome, the view from the top of the lighthouse is a must, try the sea algae fritters, fried fish bites(dogfish), the beach on the south (playa sur) is where most people go to, got to see the famous Darwin's toad which only inhabits this region in the world.

Have loved LP, since my first visit, in 2007.

Have loved LP, since my first visit, in 2007. I even started looking to buy a summer home there, to get out of Buenos Aires but then, the banking crisis of 2008 happened and losing 50% of my value, overnight nixed that idea. Sadly, for ten yrs. since 2013, I wasn't able to return, because of various problems but now, that Uruguay is open and my challenges are done, I'll be back twice a yr. for sure. Love the beach bum life. In a tiny, charming town. With plenty of interesting things to do, eat and see, even in off season.

The weather was 80 degrees every day.

The weather was 80 degrees every day. The beaches had very few people. Since it was shoulder season, a lot of restaurants were closed, so there were not a lot of choices for eating out. So we cooked in quite often. With a car, it was easy to access other close by, quiet beaches. If you like quiet, uncrowded beaches, this is for you. If you like lots of restaurant, vibrant night life, renting water craft, scuba diving, etc., this is not for you.

Cabo Polonio is a bit of a magical place.

Cabo Polonio is a bit of a magical place. The beach is endless and the sky is amazing at night because of the lack of light pollution. There are some good places to eat or drink but I recommend withdrawing a lot of cash before going there, as some places don’t accept cards.
