It was exactly as described and better! I was greeted by friendly staff who checked me in and took me over to the seafront bungalow. The room was well set up with a little kitchenette and private veranda. The shared kitchen area was really clean, spacious, and also had a great lounge too. I loved snorkelling just in front of the bungalows and taking in the views from a hammock. It was also nice to be able to pop over to Turtle Bay, just next door, for a delicious meal, chat to the staff, and take out a kayak to explore the bay. A wonderful stay, and I’m sure I’ll be back.

Staff are great so accomodating and friendly. The pool loungers are so comfortable and plenty of them with shade. In fact there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views all over the property.

Huge thanks to Mimi and the amazing team at Ratua Island Resort — your warmth, patience, and outstanding service made us feel truly cared for. From the beautiful welcome at the jetty to the emotional farewell as we sailed away to the airport — we’ve never experienced anything like this, anywhere in the world. Special thanks to the chef — the food was absolutely world-class, every meal was a delight. The island is magical, the snorkeling is breathtaking (better than the Maldives!), and the whole experience touched our hearts. Thank you again to all the staff — your kindness will stay with us. Highly, highly recommended — Ratua is a true paradise.

Cute and comfortable bungalows at an incredible and beautiful location. Wendy and the staff are extremely warm and welcoming, making you feel like part of the family. The beds and pillows were super comfortable and the snorkelling is excellent. Great meals with generous portions at the restaurant too. Quiet and peaceful spot, but close walking distance to Champagne Beach.

Aore Hibiscus Retreat is situated in Aimbuei Bay and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. This beachfront property offers access to a balcony and free private parking.

Eline & John, the Owners, and Lina (who cleaned) were wonderful. Very helpful, kind, and generous. They even hosted, with our contributions, a Christmas dinner for 7 of us guests. We especially loved swimming and snorkeling out the front door. Heaps of great small fish to see and some beautiful corals. I even saw some Seahorses. We loved staying outside of the city centre but close enough to get in easily. Excellent sunrises too. Overall good value also because we cooked most of our meals. It was a fantastic experience and easy to get to the Blue Holes, Champagne Beach, and Port Orly - all highly recommended. A big thanks to John and Esline! 💝
