This apartment was lovely in every respect. It was not only comfortable and clean, but also nicely decorated and the toiletries were delicious smelling. The bed was especially comfortable, and for once we slept on great pillows.

We enjoyed our breakfast. What a great variety of fresh and tasty foods. The service was outstanding and the staff and owners were so friendly and caring, we felt part of their family. The atmosphere and setting in the courtyard for breakfast and dinners were exceptional, providing the right ambiance to enjoy a sundowner (cocktails), dinner and so peaceful to enjoy an early morning cuppa coffee/tea and a hearty breakfast. I give the setting, breakfast/dinner/staff and management at 5/5 rating and a chef’s kiss.

A unique setting in that you can self cater or have breakfast and an evening braai delivered in a hamper at a time of your choosing. The thatched cottage has a garden and patio area with a braai then around the corner is a covered area with sun beds and around the next corner you have a small pool and a lovely covered terrace where I sat every morning at 6.30 watching the clouds and sun change the look of the surrounding mountains and valley.

My partner Rosa and I stayed for three nights for our mates wedding at this glorious location. I cannot give enough praise for how beautiful PBMR is and how welcoming the staff are here. Such a chilled and relaxing place to stay. Would come back to stay here every year if I could, just to be away from everything and "exhale". Well done and many thanks to you all at PBMR ❤️

Luc and Hilde gave us such a warm welcome. We had a light and airy bedroom and super comfortable bed. The lush enclosed garden is quiet for a swim, a sit or for dining. Good choice of fresh breakfast items and we were lucky to be there on an evening when Hilde provided a delicious 3 course dinner. Highly recommend.

We found that the people in the town were extremely helpful and friendly and would go out of their way for you, making your visit very pleasant. We had delicious food at Jimmy's and Tebaldi's.We tasted the scrumptious monster burgers from the food truck that comes every Tuesday and Thusday. I even had a back massage offered by Charmaine who runs a shop with pamper treatments.

A quaint little town with all the amenities.

A quaint little town with all the amenities. 'Tim Jan' store and the 'Cheese factory shop' on the outskirts of the town are a must for those few things you may have forgotten. browsing the secondhand shops was also a rewarding experience. The only 'negative' we arrived on a public holiday early in the morning and there was no place where we could have a cup of coffee... something to consider for the 'early morning' arrivals. This however did not detract from the overall 'Bonnievale' experience :)

A quiet town between Robertson and Montagu, surrounded by vinyards and orchards. Shopping and dining within 10 to 20 minutes of scenic driving. Montagu had a lovely, intimate market, selling home made jams, preserves, cakes, clothing and some brick a brac. Robertson had live music and delicious meals at Bourbon Street restaurant, on the main road. Beautiful historic buildings and wine farms close by. Don't forget to by wine!

It is well worth the trip from Cape town. The little town has quaint shops, a very good coffee shop and I had the most delicious apple pie ever from the farmers' market. The delightful little cottage was perfect for our needs.

The cabins were fine. Idyllic spot . We had a nasty incident where there was a man on the property pretending to be the manager, but turned out to be a con man and a thief. We had to call a security company. Very unnerving. No sign of the owner's, no apology.security needs to be jacked up,
