Situated close to the ski lifts in Zermatt, Alpen Resort & Spa features a restaurant, and spacious rooms with cable TV. The family room was exceptionally well-designed and fully equipped. It was impeccably maintained and spotlessly clean, with a lovely terrace that added to the charm. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at ease and comfortable. Additionally, the breakfast was a delightful buffet offering a wide variety of options to kickstart the day. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere in the breakfast room was excellent, making our mornings even more enjoyable.

We loved that our room had a balcony and we could hear the river flowing outside. We also loved having a kitchen as meals in town were expensive so it was great to cook in a bit and have breakfast in the morning. The beds were very comfortable. The location was convenient to hiking, transit stops, shops and restaurants in town. The room was cozy but very well appointed and great for our group of 4 adults.

Everything was perfect. Good view of Matterhorn. Vibe was welcoming and relaxing. Food selection was superb. Spa (and onsen) was amazing as well. Regret not staying here for more nights.

Offering ski-to-door access and a spa centre with an outdoor pool, Riffelalp Resort 2222m Ski-in & Ski-out 2222m is located right within the ski, hiking and biking region above Zermatt. First of all, I was surprised that they built a luxury hotel at such a high altitude. The exterior looks like a wooden mountain lodge, which is well suited to the Swiss Alps, but when you enter the room, you can see that it is a sturdy construction using very high-quality wood. Although you can't see it, I think the framework that supports the entire load is made of reinforced concrete. It feels that stable. The hotel staffs were really supportive and friendly.
