Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

GermanyThe bar is not what I expected in a hotel of this level. Big screen tv transmitted soccer like in a sport bar. We went to the bar expecting a nice ambiance... maybe a relaxing jazz music. We preferred to go back to the room and open our own wine.

The location was excellent 👌🏽 right next to the main railway station( less than 2 mn away)! The staff were excellent, cheerful and always ready to help. The room was good, nice and big enough for 2 people! Clean and easy to heat it up when needed.

Czech RepublicLots of noise from the street which is a busy road. Sound isoltion works wuite well but as a light sleeper it did bother me a bit. AC is a portable fan which works ok but not ideal.

United StatesIt is a historical hotel which is prohibited from installing A/C so not great in that regard, but we opened windows on the 4th floor and got a breeze and turned on the fan. If there hadn't been a heat wave in Germany in August it would not have been an issue.
The location to the train station was the most important as our transfer had been missed due to train track maintenance and we ended up in Leipzig station at nearly 1 a.m. The train station was closed so we needed to find a hotel that could take us and that was close to the station so we could continue our journey in the a.m. The hotel was short walking distance, and had availability as I checked on booking.com to take us that night

United StatesI had confirmed booking for two nights with Booking.com, and I even showed the evidence (screen shot on my iphone), but the front clerk insisted that I could not stay for one night. I tried multiple times to show my reservation, but the front lady just had no possibility of accepting what I showed but insist on her computer screen that I have only one night. This was the first time in using Booking.com to experience that the hotel ignored confirmed booking.
Location was excellent, right in front of the main station, and indeed visible from the station across the street. Nobody can have better location than this hotel.

Location was ideal for the city a short 10 minute walk. The staff were extremely helpful, storing our luggage as we arrived at 9am.
