Aircon wasn't working, in an unexpected hot spell. Window could be opened, but city is noisy of a night. A minor gripe.

Location perfect - right in the heart of town. Comfortable, large bed. Spotlessly clean. Staff were polite, helpful, efficient. Super buffet breakfast, even though slightly expensive. (but coffee and one croissant in a local bar was 10 euros!)

The bathroom didn't smell fresh. Every time you used the sink, the drain emitted a foul odor. The sink didn't drain properly; the water would accumulate. There was a corner in the room with mold on the wall.

The room was not cleaned properly, when I arrived it seemed like the floor was not vacuumed at all. All the corners were full of dust. I found dark short hairs (in the shower or on the floor). The door to the bathroom was flaking at the stopper, someone seems to have slammed it open and ruined it. The hairdryer wasn't working. I had "do not disturb" sign on and the cleaners still knocked anyway.

The staff was very nice, helpful and quick to solve any problems. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nicely planned. The curtains closed shut into full dark out and it was easy to sleep. The breakfast was okay.

The building work next door is incredibly noisy and starts very early. . I feel sorry for the hotel and neighbours as there is nothing they can do about it. The hotel does offer 'Free ear plugs'.. which I thought was hilarious...

We had a good experience in the hotel and we found the price of one room correct, however we found: - family of 5, with thee kids under 6, we could fit in one room with a king bed, a sofa bed and a cot bed but for 5 was mandatory to have two rooms - the price of breakfast was exaggerated for the offer - They were doing some work in the hotel and in the parking, it was annoying yet understandable but the price of parking for the day was 25€ without the possibility of charging the car.

The hotel is well located and it has a private warm pool where you can book slots of one hour per day.

The hotel general supervisor (there is no manager; he has not been replaced since he retired) was very uppity and "lectured" me when I was complaining about our previous evening's request that had not been attended to, on the basis that "they" were waiting for us to wake up when, in fact, we had had breakfast half-an-hour ago. The problem is that breakfast and chambermaid services are subcontracted so she has no idea as to what is happening when. The breakfast lady was very obliging but the coffee and croissants were very poor quality. Also the swimming pool is totally unsafe for a handicapped guest, like myself, as well as poky. The hotel is wrongly advertised as having a restaurant and so offering room-service. There is no restaurant and guests have to order takeaways from local restaurants. Finally, on a slightly fussy note, although the mattresses were great, the pillows were abominable: thin and lumpy.

The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and obliging and the mattresses were excellent. The location is ideal, close to all shops, many restaurants and cafés and transport. The hotel is also very good value for what it offers.

Facilities in general need a face lift, pretty much everything is run down, furniture & décor are quite "tired". Water in the swimming pool was a bit too cold, no changing facilities by the swimming pool & hotel does not supply slippers. Not surprised we were the only ones in the pool on a couple of occasions :) I think it would be fair to say it is a 2 1/2- 3 star hotel, needs upgrading

Good location, friendly & helpful members of staff. Certainly not a 4 star hotel though, more like 2 1/2 stars, 3 to be pushed. There are plenty of good cafes within 5-10 min walking distance for reasonably priced good quality breakfast or lunch. Chose the hotel mainly because of the swimming pool which was easy to pre-book

Little bit dusty in the room and faciliies already have some age, but otherwise everything was OK.

Location is great, just one street from the main shopping street. Close to the tram station, but also walking distance from Old town, beach or train station. And great caffee just oposit the entrance. And in case of bad weather there is also small sauna and pool, which can also come handy. Small fridge also part of the room equipment.
