Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

very close to major sites. very comfortable bed, and larger bathroom. staff recommended the most amazing restaurants for dinner. “Sacré Frenchy” was my favorite.

SwitzerlandThe check in and check out process was very impersonal, and the staff was polite but not really friendly.
The room was small but comfortable. I particularly enjoyed the location of the hotel. All in all we had a good stay here with my partner.

the location and staff could not be better. the original room booked was very small and if you are a couple or saying more than one night, do not book their standard room. they were able to change our rooms on the 4th day of our staying, at the same price and that was much more suitable.

United StatesThe bed slouched. I felt like I was in a cereal bowl. Most staff were very helpful. Uber eats order arrived at night and nobody contacted us. Not a big deal but night staff guy wasn’t as attentive as day. Day staff were a dream! Forget about getting a cab at the front door. You will wait awhile. One way street in center of Paris=traffic. Walked to subway instead with luggage. Right around corner
We tried this place for location near the Louvre. You are only a block away. I learned I don’t want to be in the center. The bathroom I think was the best part. Towel warmers! Price was good but the bed sucked. Lighting was beautiful in room. I could hear my neighbor singing in the shower above, The weekend “Save your tears for another day” 😂 So sweet

United StatesA simple, efficient, lovely hotel in a great location. No frills but meets all the expectations of a moderate boutique property. But the BEST PART IS the staff, DUNIA at the front desk was wonderful. So caring, diligent, professional. The hotel should be VERY happy to know she represents your property so well.

GreeceUnfortunately internet connection was not good. Difficult to connect, several messages that it is an unsecure connections and all info exchanged can be seen by others, which makes thing really challenging especially as you need to make a lot of online reservations and payments, due to Covid. Many museums don't even offer the option of onsite tickets. Also the maid made my room one day, despite the "do not disturb" sign. And on the last day, she knocked on my room at 9am to make the room, while check out is 12pm. My room was on the first floor on Saint Honore side and on Saturday night it was noisy as there was a traffic light and cars with music would stop underneath. It was manageable but you can ask for a room at the back.
The best (affordable) location in Paris, hands down. You can travel from CDG airport directly to Les Halles by train in 40 minutes and then a 6 minute walk to the airport (after you find the right exit at Les Halles!). The Louvre and the Seine are 2 minutes away, there is a bus to the Eiffel Tower 1 min away and a metro too. Practically you can walk around to many places. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no fridge in my room (removed as they were gradually upgrading those, as they explained) but gladly put my stuff in the fridge at the bar. Most importantly, there was a big Nespresso machine in my room and I could make coffee at my easy. They would gladly give you as many coffee pads as needed! I will definitely return.
