There is a strong detergent smell when you enter. Pillows were really bad and too soft. Toilet layout not efficient, no place to place your toiletries, which is so wasted because the bathroom is huge and can easily build some shelves. Kitchen very very basic not enough utensils to do simple cooking. No cooker hob to absorb the smoke and smell. Only one bath towel and had to ask for hand towels.

Location is near the main train station yet in a quiet area. Easy access to city center and old town. Rooms clean and spacious.

The rooms are not sound proof, at least mine. My appartment and the one next to it seemed joined by a locked door (maybe it's in case someone decides to rent both of them). The thing is that you could hear everything from the other room. Hopefully my neighbour was a pretty calm and silent person.

Pretty nice stay in a calm street right next to Part Dieu. Kind people, clean and well maintained. I've been in other Montempo locations and it's what I expected. The kitchenette worked great, but some extra glass, dish, etc would be welcome.

Unfortunately the photos of the hotel and apartment needs an update...it is a bit run down and needs some maintenance.

Very good location, close to the station and metro. We booked the deluxe two-bedroom apartment. It had plenty of space and is as described. It was clean. Perfect for a longer stay. We did not have breakfast at the property. There a plenty of small grocery shops and bakeries in the area.

Breakfast could have been more substantial for 9 Euros. Lock up garages for the vehicles are very small and the access is difficult as you need to have a card and our card was not working well.

My refrigerator did not work and I counted on being able to keep some simple supplies as I worked in my room for part of each day. The staff were sympathetic, but the hotel was full and they couldn't move me to another room.

Easy walking distance from the train station and bus lines. Friendly staff. Very clean room. Well-equipped kitchen for the kind of facility. I didn't recommend the rooms for a romantic holiday because they are basic. No frills. But the location is romantic and close to so many lovely places to visit.

The location is perfect, just max. 5 minutes away from Part Dieu. Our room was very big and very clean, the area is very quiet and even though it is located near the train station, it feels very safe. I recommend staying here if you want to explore Lyon!

Overall there might be a slight noise issue as the walls to the other rooms are quite thin and there's also a kindergarten right outside the hotel so some people might have problems taking a nap/relaxing during the day.

Super friendly staff (very forthcoming in speaking English as well), the checking in and out process was smooth and quick. convenient location right next to Part Dieu station, for its price - this is a great option for anyone staying in Lyon.
