The outdoor pool was too dirty to use, covered with dead insects and other debris. The restaurant was not open the evening we were staying Sunday 18/06/23, this was a problem for us as we had purposely booked this hotel because we wanted a hotel with a restaurant as we had been driving all day and there were no other options in the village on a Sunday night, so we had to drive for 20 minutes to find an open restaurant. Also we booked this hotel because it has an outside pool but it was too dirty to use. 17 euros for breakfast!!!! What a joke, we have had excellent breakfasts in hotels for 8 euros, there is no way we would pay £17 euros for a breakfast

Everything is very clean when you enter the reception area of the hotel, quick and friendly check in, our room was very clean and spacious, well equipped, even had a kettle and a free bottle of water, good shower, very big and comfortable bed. The indoor pool is nice but small, the sauna was a bonus.

The quality of the bed could be improved. The quality of the coffee for the breakfast. The now standardised coffee machine is definitely not serving the best coffee… even the regular coffee was not really good…

We booked a family room for 4. We were given a double room with two extra beds. There was no floor space left to move around in! Would not recommend this for a happy family visit! Dinner was good and the waiter was smiling, even though it was obvious that he was overworked!

It was well located close enough to drive to the skiing.

The staff was welcoming and caring especially in the restaurant and for breakfast. I remember the gentleman who cooked the pancakes was very friendly.

The receptionist was incompetent and not helpful at all. The hotel's own restaurant was supposedly fully booked and we were sent to an external restaurant. They did not want to make a reservation for us there. When we arrived, the restaurant was closed; other restaurants in the vicinity were fully booked or also closed. Back at the hotel, we explained the situation to the reception and asked them to serve us at least a salad. They refused, saying that they had too few staff. In fact, half the hotel restaurant was empty and only one very stressed, unfriendly waiter was serving. The hotel manager was not available.

The parking does not belong to the hotel. Not enough parking spaces compared to hotel size and very difficult to park given the tiny aspect. My car was severely damaged by another car the next morning. I suspect someone had difficult to maneuver and didn't even leave a sorry note. The hotel did not care as they are not responsible. No video in parking. I advise you to park elsewhere

There was nothing that we didn't like

Everything was amazing. The thought that had gone into the style and decor was incredible. The garden and pool was just amazing, for an ancient property in the centre of town. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our room was lovely, with a separate sleeping area for the children. The food was delicious; and made more enjoyable by all the guests sitting at a huge dining table.

The out door pool was closed which was frustrating. One of the bar staff in the evening was rude and inflexible. There is NO AIR CON at all. It is hot and sticky. Yet you had to request fans for the room and then they were very small. The hotel is some sort of spa - so people are their to relax and be pampered. We were really looking forward to swimming in the outdoor pool but as it was closed we ended up having a swim indoors which was a pain as there were adults coming in looking for peace & quiet. So having to young kids bouncing around the pool was not going to work

Very disappointed with the lady at the reception desk in the afternoon of July 20. At check-in, she asked if we would take breakfast on-site. We asked for the price, she said 7€ per person (we both understood this because we made her repeat once) and booked the breakfast. Next day at check out, not only we learned that the breakfast was not 7€ but 17€, we also learned that there was an express breakfast option for 9€ that we had definitely taken if the lady told us the breakfast was 17€. Apart from this, the breakfast is not worth 17€, go to the restaurant in front instead.
