Our stay at Borgo Mocale Bio Agriturismo: Amazing history and hospitality from the owners (Antoinette & Giulio), lovely homemade breakfast and dinner, beautiful tranquil scenery of flowers, fruit & olive trees for miles, and a farm must have… a mule “Poldo” & several goats (a male named “Gustavo”) 🌺 🐐 😋 Felt so blessed and Loved it all! 🥰

The family - Antonella, Giuseppe and their son Guilio were the perfect hosts. So welcoming, happy, helpful & knowledgable. Antonella is a wonderful cook and I highly recommend having the 3 course dinner which is available every Monday, Wed or Fri evening. Giulio’s wine selection on the menu is superb. The place is kept looking immaculate. Our unit had everything we needed, was spacious and beds comfortable. Great for day tripping to nearby villages or having a rest day by the pool. We had a wonderful time and hope to come back here again. Our first trip to Tuscany and we absolutely loved it.

I have no words for this place. The service from start to finish was fantastic. We got a puncture on the road up to the property and Giulio helped us to get the wheel to the mechanic in the village and ordered a new tyre. The food is incredible, both at breakfast and the evening meal. I would come back again tomorrow if I could.

We had a lovely 3-night-stay at Borgo Mocale. The place was just amazing with it's beautiful Tuscan surroundins, cozy room, gardens and pool area - it truly felt like home away from home. We felt super welcomed by Antonella, Giuseppe and Giulio. They and all the staff at Borgo Mocale were so nice and friendly. Enjoyed the breakfasts and a dinner on one evening - during our stay in Italy no place has been able to serve a Tiramisu as delicious as Antonella's. We definitely recommend visiting this place. A small recommendation... Mention on the website that the air conditioning is paid after exceeding a limit. When it's 40 degrees outside, a more flexible check in, with empathy towards children, would be welcome.

The dinner they prepared was so good that I wished we had it every evening, but this is a suggestion, really I cannot fault a thing. I am very impressed with the dedication they had to build this place to what it is today.

View was amazing, it's much more remote than what I saw in the pictures, everything is spotlessly clean, the owners are absolutely amazing, they make you feel right at home. There is a pool with an amazing view, very clean and most time you are by yourself so you can properly relax. Breakfast was good but dinner was amazing. The apartament ee were in was better than expected, pictures don't do this place justice. We didn't even have to use the AC as the house has very tick walls so if you close all shutters it stays cold. One of the best places we've ever stayed at, will definitely want to go back.

Amazing and peaceful place with one of the most beautiful views over Toscana we’ve ever seen ! The host / the family was so welcoming and always had time for a chat and gave good recommendations about the surroundings. The rooms were clean and fresh, even better than the pictures ! The food and wine were 10/10. Extra bonus with some live music! The peaceful atmosphere together with the pool and ping pong table made it a perfect visit even with kids. Would give this a 12/10 if possible!!

Absolutely amazing stay. The family is so welcoming and kind. The borgo is in the Tuscan landside, and exactly what you could hope for and expect from a bio argriturismo. The surroundings, the family/staff, the history of the place, the food - everything was so genuine and absolutely amazing. The breakfast is wonderful (especially the eggs) and the dinner on Monday/Wednesday/Friday is even more amazing. Only small complaint is that we had issues with the WIFI, but all in all that means nothing as everything else was spotless. Hope to come back sometime in the future, and will surely recommend Borgo Mocale to friends and family that want to stay in the Tuscan countryside.

Nothing, everything was perfect!

We loved the place so much, we could feel the effort and love they've put into it! The area of the Borgo Mocale is beautiful and the landscape is breathtaking! The breakfast and dinner were amazing, done with their own and/or local products. But if we need to choose one thing, what we loved the most was the hospitality! We enjoyed the chats with Giulio and hearing about the local and family history! They really made us feel at home :)

You have to drive there, there are no taxis and private drivers are expensive. The road to get up is tight, but once you do it, it gets easier, we had no problem with a full size SUV, it was just intimidating.

The property is stunning. It's quiet, secluded and the views of sunset are unmatched.

The kitchen facilities were limited to a hob and sandwich toaster so cooking a full meal would be a challenge. It would not be expensive to install a standalone microwave/combi oven and that would transform the 'self catering' aspect.

The Borgo Mocale is in an isolated and elevated postion giving beautiful views of the valley below and across towards Chianti. Eating breakfast on the hillside terrace was a real treat. The breakfast was substantial and included eggs cooked to your preference. We had a two bed, two bathroom apartment in the 'tower' which had a roof terrace with great views. The bedrooms were a good size and very comfortable. The good sized bathrooms had shower, basin and bidet. The combined kitchen diner and seating area was a good size and comfortably rustic. The owners and staff were very friendly and helpful. There is no restaurant on site but an evening meal is available 2 or 3 times a week on the breakfast terrace which we enjoyed on our first evening. The owners were happy to recommend and book restaurants for you which is essential in August. Parking onsite is down some steep stairs but you can unload the car at the entrance to the property. We would love to stay here again.

Nothing really.

Building was built in the 1300s and it was like a stone castle of sorts. The hosts were amazing and had live music 2 of our 3 nights. Our room was maybe the cleanest room we have ever rented, nothing out of place. The hosts, Julio and Antonella, were amazing and tended to anything we needed. The views were amazing. There is a nice pool and was an awesome pace to relax and have a drink and meet other guests. Breakfast was included and they prepared anything you wanted and got to enjoy it sitting on a beautiful outdoor patio overlooking the olive groves.

The natural environment surrounding the property should lull you into holiday paradise mode, but really it’s the Power of the Woman in charge here that infuses it with charm. Antonelle, (the Matriarch of this warm, love infused family owned establishment) will go above and beyond to make you feel at home. Antonelle’s husband and son were wonderful as well, explaining to us the history of the region as well as practical information we needed during our stay. I’ve traveled around the world and am hard pressed to recall a time when I felt the degree of genuine hospitality I felt while at Borgo Mocale. The same level of care that is put into each physical detail of the property, from the beautiful locally made glassware on which meals are served to the ornately woven textiles covering the cushions adorning the music room, is put into the welcoming of guests. I very much look forward to returning in the near future !
