How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Great service from the time you entered the hotel, friendly staff. Clean and neat rooms that make it a pleasant stay at the end of a long day of walking in Florence!

On our first day the room was very very cold. On the temperature gauge it said the room was 14 degrees. When we asked at reception if the room could be heated up she said the only thing she can do is offer us an extra blanket. Which didn’t feel very clean… The douvet on the bed consisted of one of these blankets and a sheet. When we arrived back to the hotel the second day the heating/cooling system seemed to be on which was good as we no longer had to be freezing in our room
The room was very big. The bathroom was huge also. Room was very quiet. The breakfast was very nice. Eggs, bacon and a selection of bread and cereals. Coffee available cappuccinos and espresso which were really good. The lady making the coffees was very nice and even made us a second one.

The room is clean and comfortable. Our room's toilet is a bit small, not sure about the others. The bed is comfortable to sleep in. The breakfast was good, serving continental breakfast and the coffee was nice. The staff makes you feel welcomed, and they are very friendly and nice. The Hotel also allows you to keep your luggage at their lobby even after you have checked out. The location is quite near to the main train station, about 10 to 15 mins walk.

In general my stay was very nice! I’ve just spend two nights at Boston Hotel, but was time enough to make sure that the stay was value for money! The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable! Also the beds! The staff were very kind all the time! Totally recommend the Hotel!

Room was very small. We expect small in Florence but no floor space. Luggage had to be placed on bed to open it.

When it rained, there used to foul smell from the garden sometimes. While they had a aircon system installed we and staff couldn’t figure how to operate it. Lastly the table chairs in sitting area of suite, while fancy and very useful, seemed impractical for kids as chairs kept moving. The kitchenette was not supplied by usual like cleaning cloth/ dishwashing supplies/ tissues. However hotel provided it when requested.
The junior suite in backyard was extremely comfortable/ plus access to backyard all the time. Layout was nice. Breakfast every morning was good. staff was very helpful and cheerful. Location was good for a walk to the station or to duomo.

The only thing I’d change is the air conditioning didn’t work but the weather was perfect so we opened up our windows!
All of the workers were so nice and the breakfast was amazing! It was in the perfect location in walking distance to mostly everything you might want to see.

Not set up for cooking. One knife 2 forks and spoons but no cooking utensils, no tea towell or liquid detergent. Site said Kitchen facilities but this was not the case
Well looked after for breakfast. The bedding and bathroom facilities were first class with nothing spared for comfort or cleanliness

Everything is a bit of a walk to get to and the neighbourhood seems a bit dirty, but everything is still walkable. We walked from the train station to the hotel and spent the 2 days walking and exploring.
We stayed here for 3 nights. Staff was excellent and friendly. Helped us find restaurants in the area that they enjoyed. They also asked if we needed tour suggestions, but we already had things booked. Our room was clean. Breakfast was basic but good. My husband loved the fried prosciutto every morning.

Breakfast could start a bit earlier to allow you to go out before the heat during summertime. Also the AC was not low enough for us.
Great location. Just a short walk from Central Florence with all the activities. Very quiet and clean. Really nice breakfast and staff.

Almost everything perfect. the only thing is all streets are narrow in whole city that is same for all location in Firenze.

I am used to an american breakfast. There are alot of sweets in the morning buffet. I would love more to see more savory foods. But, that is just me. Maybe the coffee girl could bring the coffee within the first 5 minutes of ordering not 30 minutes later. I think she might have ADHD. No offense. But, my coffee is very important in the AM. But, everything else was perfect. The night shift main attendant is amazing! Funny and loves americans from California and New York. Hope you get to visit with him on your trip to this hotel.
