Fantastic in every way, I can’t praise it enough. It’s an 1000 year old castle but feels as nice as a new building. The staff is incredibly helpful and always with a smile on their face, it’s spotlessly clean, the spa is great (outdoor pool and jacuzzi and all the saunas you can hope for). It’s a bit pricey but you truly get what you pay for: royal treatment at a castle

The location is just funtastic. Its a small sleepy locatioñ but full of character. Its well located to visit Hallstatt one of the most popular locations in Austria. We have been travelling in Europe by car comming to close to 2 months and have visited some very special places but Hallstatt is the tops. Staying in Bad Mittendorf with its proximity of some 21 km of wonderfull scenery along the way was magical. On the approches to Hallstatt you will see the cable car going up the mountain on you left. Just follow the sign for parking on your left as it will be the biggest and it has limitted spots due to many visitors. When you enter the parking at the boom gate you will receive a security tag token that will be redeemed at the end when you leave. First when you insert the tag to determine the time and to parking payment. Second, on payment the tag will be returned for you to use to exit parking. Go to the top of the mountain and enjoy the magical view. Down at the village just have a stroll and enjoy the view and take all the photos as you will not be there every day. The staff were amazing very helpfull and its them that will make out trip So memorable.
