We loved staying at koyado enn! It was a great home base for onsen hopping and they provided an onsen pass, robes, and sandals. The staff were friendly/helpful and the breakfast was delicious!

We had an amazing stay at this ryokan. It was so nice to experience a traditional accommodation and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. It was also very relaxing to use their spa which had a serene atmosphere and also not crowded like some of the public hot springs. True it wasn’t in the center, you have to walk a bit to the hot springs but it’s an easy 10 minute walk and they also take you in and back by shuttle bus between 4-10pm.

The hospitality was exceptional!! The staff was beyond welcoming, courteous, helpful and kind. Communication was made easy, even though our Japanese is very limited. We especially enjoyed the artistry and elegant presentation of the kaiseki dinner and the beautiful description of each course. This property rests on the main canal and is within walking distance of Kinosaki’s main street, all of the onsens, the ropeway to Mt. Daishi and also to the Buddhist temple, Gokurakuji.

The customer service was impeccable, the room was traditional and very roomy for three people. So clean and comfortable with a lovely garden outside the door. There were so many amazing little touches and amenities both in the room and in the onsen that we loved.

Incredible rooms with incredible staff! They help you pick out a yukata for each day of your stay, and there are many beautiful choices. You’re allowed to wear them outside in town, and it’s a very special experience. The rooms are perfectly clean and beautifully designed. The public bath was excellent as well, and since they swap the gender in the morning and night, you’re able to use both during your stay. There is even a lounge with free tea and icecream.

Before going to this Ryokan, I have some concern after reading some online reviews. However, we were happy with our stay and the scrumptious dinner and breakfast! The owner was so kind and helpful that she welcomed us with warm tea. She even prepared small towels for my son after she knew that he is going to the onsen too. When she saw that the yutaka is too big size for me, she asked the staff to change to a smaller size of yutaka and even helped me to wear it properly. There is no weird smell throughout our stay there, the room was a bit old, but it was very clean , and the bed was comfortable. Before we left the Ryokan, after knowing that it was our first time to see a real snow, the lady boss scooped some ice for my boy and even helped to take a photo for us. We had a great stay there feeling like back to grandma house, thank you for the hospitality! 😊 Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5
