We absolutely loved this hostel. We had room 8 with a beautiful view and a private terrace. We spent our entire rest day here enjoying the restful atmosphere and watching the tide go in and out. We made use of the lovely common spaces in the hostel as well. The breakfast was one of the best we have had in Chile, with hearty homemade seed bread, fresh fruit and yogurt, and eggs made to order. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

An outdoor swimming pool, a sauna room and gym facilities can be enjoyed at Hotel de Castro. There are comfortable common areas, Wi-Fi is free and the town’s main square is 200 metres from the hotel. The location is great. The building from the outside looks a bit worn out but the inside is in pretty good shape. The rooms are not large but sufficient. The view priceless! The breakfast very good. Great location and the basicilica within a few hundred meters walk where there are plenty of good restaurants.

It was great staying at one of the famous palafitos in Castro - everything was perfect. Top front row to the river, well equipment, clean, a lot of space, beautiful bathroom, TV with Netflix etc., not far away from center, nice and helpful staff (also speaking English).

We liked the style of the building, the style too. Great view from the room and the dining room. Good choice of breakfast but no cereal. Enough car park space.
