Birkende B&B’s simply decorated guest rooms feature wooden floors and a seating area. Toilets and showers are shared. Birkende was a wonderful place to stay while I was in Denmark for a conference! Conny was so welcoming and hospitable. When my travel plans got upended and I came in a day late, tired, jet-lagged, and hungry, she met me on the property and prepared a fabulous lunch of coffee, juice, meats, cheeses, fruits, and breads for me (because I had missed breakfast). This thoughtful touch to ensure the comfort of her guest was so sincerely appreciated! The room was cozy and comfortable, with everything I needed during my stay. The breakfasts were delicious and prepared early, so I could eat before flitting off for full days at my conference. And the property is peaceful and simply stunning (including their gorgeous grapevines and koi pond). It is well situated for a short drive through the beautiful countryside to both Kerteminde and Odense. I couldn't have asked for anything more!

The property features inner courtyard views and is 21 km from Hans Christian Andersens Hus and 21 km from Odense Concert Hall. The guest house has private entrance. Attention to detail and cleanliness. Indoor and outdoor! Kitchen including more than expected for guest to brew coffee/tea or cook a full meal. Recycling was easy! Comfortable beds, chairs and sofa were it’s plenty of storage and places to hang coats and shoe racks!

It was perfect for our needs - spotlessly clean. The food was the best we’ve had on our tour of Denmark. Breakfast was particularly good.

The location is really good which is next to ferry terminal to Aero island and short walking distance to train station. Very friendly staff who allows us to check in early.

The on-site spa offers a sauna, hot tubs and a rain shower area. A cold water basin, relax lounge and foot baths are also featured. Superb breakfast, great location, nice room. We ate the Summerbuffet for dinner twice, it was excellent. Despite its vastness, this is a great place to stay. We could store our touring bikes indoors in a special room.
