Located between the lakes Nørresø and Søndersø, this hotel is 400 metres from Maribo Train Station. Guests can relax on the terrace which offers views of the water and surrounding parkland. There are fruits and coffee for free the whole day, and small snacks in the afternoon (also for free). Having a bit food, sitting at the windows looking out at the beautiful lake, it’s very relaxing for families with small kids.

Located on Torvet Square in central Sakskøbing, this hotel is housed in a building from 1827. It provides free WiFi, an in-house restaurant and individually decorated rooms. I stayed at Hotel Saxkjøbing for a night and was genuinely impressed. The building itself is beautiful, full of history and atmosphere, with lovely old details that make it feel very special. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. It’s not a luxury hotel, but everything feels genuine. The restaurant is definitely worth visiting for dinner too. The food is simple but beautifully prepared and based on local ingredients I've been told. Overall, this was one of the most pleasant and authentic hotel experiences I’ve had in Denmark. If you enjoy historical buildings, good food, and a relaxed atmosphere, Hotel Saxkjøbing is absolutely worth a visit.

Hotel Lolland offers good-value accommodation only 2 minutes’ drive from the Knuthenborg Safaripark and the Maribo Lakes. Room was nice. The fellows running it tried to accommodate our needs. It was a Saturday evening and most of the town had gone home.

This intimate family-run hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Maribo Station and the city’s 15th-century cathedral. It offers a restaurant and garden as well as free Wi-Fi and parking. Very clean and comfortable, very good communication from owners on how to access room for late check in
