The building is charming and the interior is really cozy. There is vintage wallpaper and beautiful tiled stoves (functioning!) inside. The whole place has a great atmosphere. The host is a very friendly person :) There is a dog as well, she is super cute 🤍 Good breakfast, overall great value for money.

Salpalinjan Hovi is set in a charming, renovated school building, 10 minutes’ drive from Lappeenranta city centre.

Only few minutes by car from the center of Lappeenranta, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a rest. The house is beautifully renovated, has a unique charm. The breakfast was fabulous, plentiful. We will be back for a longer stay!

We had nice scrambled egg, meatballs and vegetables every day, but there were many other options available.

We loved absolutely everything: The unique location and country setting, beautiful buildings and gardens, comfy room in a cottage, amazing breakfast, the most picturesque and perfect sauna down by the lake (unforgettable!) and - last but not least - the super lovely, kind and helpful (giving great tips) owners, Laura and Kalle.

Dating back to the 1800s, this charming manor is found in the Finnish Lake District, 7 km from Mikkeli. It offers an award-winning restaurant and elegant rooms with garden views.

The Manor grounds were very well taken care of and it was a real pleasure to walk around there. The breakfast was very tasty with a good variety of handmade foodstuff. The way the service was presented was exceptional and the staff had great attitude towards service.

The place was beautiful and was right by the lake and opposite Olavanlinna so views were superb. The room was spacious and the bed was really comfortable.

If you are looking for peace, scroll no further, you have found it here! We stayed in an apartment close to the water, we felt close to nature and a true sense of tranquility. The apartment sticks to the traditional wooden design with traditional Finnish textiles on the walls, floors, and table - resulting in a space that feels cosy and warm, no matter the weather outside :) We felt true hospitality from Pasi and Anneli. We will be back in the summer without a doubt.
