Located in the colonial city of Fort Cochin, Tissa's Inn is housed in a mansion 1 km from Fort Cochin Beach and Chinese Fishing Nets. It offers an outdoor pool and massage services. We stayed one night at Tissa’s Inn in Fort Kochi after arriving in Kochi in the evening, and it was a lovely experience from start to finish. The staff greeted us very warmly on arrival, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. The room was spacious, comfortable, and had a charming local boutique-inn feel that immediately made us feel relaxed. The property has a lot of character and feels thoughtfully put together. We also bought a few souvenirs from the inn, which were beautifully made, locally sourced, and fairly priced — a nice touch. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent. The food was flavorful and well-prepared, and the service was attentive. I enjoyed the grilled spicy tiger prawns so much that I ended up ordering two plates. Easily one of the best meals we had in Fort Kochi. The next morning, breakfast was just as good — fresh, delicious dosas and a relaxed atmosphere. Checkout was quick and seamless, and the staff even gave us complimentary bottled water for the road, which was a thoughtful gesture. Overall, Tissa’s Inn offers genuine hospitality, great food, and a comfortable boutique stay in a perfect Fort Kochi location. Highly recommended, and I’d happily stay here again.

Marari Beach Resort offers a sea-side village experience. Located 9.7 km from Alleppey and 14.5 km from Kumarakom, it has an outdoor pool while beachside dining is available. Everything was amazing. Marari was a great way to experience authentic Kerala culture, history and cuisine. The property is lush and beautiful. There are lots of activities for all ages. We particularly liked the ability to have a family holiday with each family member having their own places right next to each other.

Resembling a traditional tribal village, Spice Village offers thatched-roof cottages with a minibar. The property houses an outdoor pool, tennis court and skilled Ayurvedic doctors. Nestled in nature, well maintained and clean.

This restored Victorian shipyard on the scenic Cochin Harbour offers air-conditioned rooms with beautiful sea views. The staff is very polite and helpful. The room is cleaned very frequently. My room overlooked the sea, which was beautiful. The pool is not too shallow, which is fun. They offer a complimentary sunset cruise, which is a good addition.

Coconut Lagoon is a heritage backwater destination on the lakeside, a 10-minute boat ride from Kavanatinkara boat landing. Facing Vembanad Lake, it features an outdoor pool. What a special hotel! The grounds are absolutely stunning, the staff was very nice, and the food was delicious. I particularly enjoyed the yoga and meditation sessions. The instructor was so kind and did a fantastic job introducing me to both practices. This was done at the perfect level for me. I also enjoyed very much discussing with him about other topics after the sessions such as literature and life in India. This was a transformative experience for me.
