The service from the staff was immaculate with attention to every small detail. They were nice enough to take care of my luggage before i checked in and brought it directly to my room when i returned to check in. The was a nice welcome cheese cake and tea during check in as well as roasted marshmallow and coffee later in the evening. Dinner and breakfast was quite tasty and i enjoyed them. The view from my room was nice especially in the morning as i could see the sun rise, a perfect way to start the day. The "pearl aurora" outdoor onsen was amazing, it made my skin actually glitter because of all the pearl powder which was honestly a little bit funny.

Hotel Othaya is located in a very small and picturesque fisherman village, about 30 minutes drive from Toba ,home to the Ama divers and a beautiful beach. The hotel is located a 5 minutes walk to the beach, close to a beautiful shrine , few cafes and also a very interesting museum about the history of the Ama divers. Othaya healing stay is an upscale boutique hotel, with amazing rooms beautifully and modernly designed with private spa units that have an onsen,sauna with beautiful views of the sea. The hotel is run by an amazing and friendly couple, Junko and Norimasa, that go out of their way ,to make your stay memorable and comfortable. On our Last day ,we ate the hotel's traditional Japanese breakfast, which turned out to be the BEST!!! one we had in our trip to Japan. We stayed 4 beautiful days ,and we highly recommend to make a stop in this laid back village to get a feel of the authentic and traditional Japanese lifestyle and get to meet the warm and welcoming local community.

Private roten buro-bath was exceptional. The room was huge. Self-service coffee bar was nice and food was more than we could eat.

We stayed here due to location away from the hustle and bustle of major cities whilst attending the Japanese F1 Grand Prix at Suzuka. It was 1:30 when clear and no more than 2hrs on Saturday and Sunday using the ISE express way. The hotel was great beds were really comfy, bathroom was nice, plenty of space, google translate has been a god send for the language barrier and my lack of Japanese. The views were lovely to wake up looking out onto the bay / sea each morning. I would definitely stay here again.

As a European, I love it. I was worried it might be tacky, cheap, kitsch and so on, but it's just a really lovely and stylish slice of Mediterranean. Grounds and facilities were impeccable thanks to recent renovations. Great food, great public bath, great staff. The breakfast was a delight. It's just about within walking distance of the Yokoyama trail area if you're up for a bit of hiking.

Location. Dining and quality of food was exceptional. Staff friendly but lacking in English so thanks google translate. As it was a remote location we were the only Europeans there out of 500+ people so that was fun. Men’s spa and sauna facilities first class.

Rooms are fully renovated . Very clean. I love hotels that use high end hair dryers. It just makes the whole experience more luxurious. This hotel use the Refa brand hair dryer. 😍 been always want to try their hair dryers. The staff are extremely helpful in helping us to bring luggages to room. Which I always appreciated this service. As it is heavy and after a long day visiting many attractions, when you come to a hotel that really take care of you the moment you step into the lobby makes every penny of the money well worth it. The breakfast is good. Love their pudding and homemade tofu. Not commercial taste at all. Nice ocean view.
