Situado en Toba, dentro de una distancia de 8 minutos a pie de Chidorigahama Beach y a 29 km de Ise Grand Shrine, Ise-Shima Ohtaya Healing Stay cuenta con hospedaje con un restaurante y WiFi gratis,... I really like this place. The female owner has an inquisitive mind, a warm personality, and a kind heart. Her English is good enough to communicate and ask for help. The sauna and the private onsen in the room are top-notch. I did not check the public onsen with natural hot spring, but heard it's amazing too. I booked the 5th floor with an ocean view, and the private onsen experience during starry night and the set rise were indeed amazing! The hotel itself is located in a remote little cute fish town called osatsucho, where you can find fishmen and women harvesting and selling the Ise lobsters in the morning by the port. It was a very unique and interesting experience to stay in that little town for two days during the winter when it was not crowded at all. The nearest convenience store is 10 + miles away. It was a very natural, grounding, even retreat-like experience to me, and it was drastically different from my experience in Tokyo, Nayoga, or Osaka. I did spot a few demolished houses with broken windows in the town, not sure if it's because of COVID or during the winter when there were fewer tourists. The big plus is the Shinmei shrine next door to the hotel, which is a very calming and spiritual place to visit and stay for a bit too.

We stayed for my birthday and it was an incredible experience. The hotel is right on the water. The welcome and check-in was superb - very relaxing and through. The room was large and had full water views. The onsen facilities were amazing, particularly the outdoor onsen right next to the bay. The kaiseki dinner was amazing. So much food and all delicious. So happy we decided to stay here.

As a European, I love it. I was worried it might be tacky, cheap, kitsch and so on, but it's just a really lovely and stylish slice of Mediterranean. Grounds and facilities were impeccable thanks to recent renovations. Great food, great public bath, great staff. The breakfast was a delight. It's just about within walking distance of the Yokoyama trail area if you're up for a bit of hiking.

El Toba International Hotel cuenta con 2 restaurantes, cafetería y bar, todos con magníficas vistas al mar, y está muy bien situado, a solo 4 minutos de la estación de tren de Toba en el servicio de... This hotel is amazing. The rooms are huge and so comfortable, the staff exceptional and the breakfast buffet had a huge selection of Western and Japanese options. The view from the outdoor lounge is incredible. We got up to watch the sunrise from the outdoor area and the staff provided the guests (there were about 10-12 of us) with coffee while we enjoyed the changing colours. There is a lot of history here as the Emperor stays here and Queen Elizabeth did as well. It’s lovely to see they celebrate this with their displays.
