Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). Highlight of my trip, I wish we stayed 2 nights not just one. Great hospitality and wonderful facilities. Personally the futon was very comfortable since I prefer harder matress. A 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal, very close to the main attractions.

Only a 5-minute drive from Miyajima Ferry Port with its free shuttle, beautiful ocean views can be enjoyed from Miyajima Seaside Hotel. We had our 2 year old with us and they were super accommodating and had a lot of kid friendly options available. Meals were great and meal time banquet hall was comfortable for my little one to move around as needed. There is also a kid corner with toys and entertained my LO. The staff were all amazing and we were able to communicate our requests very easily in English. It was very easy to call the hotel shuttle from the ferry and they also brought us back after our stay. We were able to leave our items with them after check out and they brought the items right to the ferry when we were ready to leave. Always plenty of food at meals and satisfy all needs from 2 year old to teen to senior grandparents appetite. Great facilities for family travel.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Everything was great. We used the service to pick up our luggage from the luggage storage, and explored our way up to the beautiful hotel location on foot. The staff were welcoming. Dinner was both beautiful and delicious, and it was great to be able to book the bath for a relaxing private bath. The rooms were spacious, pretty, relaxing, and quiet with an amazing view!

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Our stay at this modern hotel on Miyajima Island was fantastic from start to finish. The room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable — a perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Although the hotel is about a kilometer from the ferry terminal, they offer a free and very convenient transfer service, which made everything super easy. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the famous Itsukushima Shrine, the iconic torii gate, and also close to the ropeway up Mount Misen. We chose a plan with dinner and breakfast included, and the dining experience was truly exceptional — dinner was a beautifully presented multi-course fine dining experience, and breakfast was a traditional Japanese-style meal that we really enjoyed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and check-in, check-out, and arranging the transfer were all effortless. The small public bath was a great way to relax, especially the outdoor section, which was tastefully decorated with plants and felt amazing on a chilly night after a day of hiking. Highly recommended for a peaceful and luxurious stay on Miyajima!

We loved the Oyado Tsukiusagi! It had the most comfortable futon beds we experienced through our 5 weeks of traveling through Japan, a beautiful and clean room, and the lady at the hotel was very nice and welcoming. We really love Miyajima so we were very happy that we could stay at the island through the night.

Located right in front of Miyajima Aquarium and a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine's exit, Mizuhasou offers accommodations in a modern yet traditional décor. Great location , close to town and the red Tori. Spacious comfortable room, view of the forest in the back, nice building with a restaurant downstairs with excellent food. Great breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. You can leave your bags if needed. We walked from the ferry, 20-30 mns. Great bath/tubs. Everything works well.

Located in the World Heritage Miyajima Island, Iwaso features Japanese-style accommodations with beautiful surrounding views. The most amazing food , beautiful property , lovely onsen and lovely staff . They came to fetch us from the ferry and were so helpful

ITSUKUSHIMA IROHA is located in Miyajima’s Omotesando Avenue, a 5-minute walk from Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Miyajima Pier. Beautiful property, excellent staff AND amazing dinner. Just incredible.

Renewed in 2013, Sakuraya offers affordable Japanese-style rooms with mountain or sea views. Free Wi-Fi is available at the public areas. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 3-minute walk away. Great location, and straight to the water.they had access to a public bath and the staff was friendly. Good and traditional rooms.

Large, traditional apartment with private bathroom in great location. The hotel has a great public bath, but if you have tattoos you have to cover them up to use it. Yukata available in the room so you can walk around the hotel. Very nice and helpful staff.
