Offering a barbecue and ski storage space, AIBIYA is located in Yamanouchi in the Nagano Region, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park. The room were bigger than I expected, and the bed is super comfortable. Staff were helpful as I'm not too familiar with the area. They don't have an onsen but have 3 partnership with other onsens in the area. It is close from the station so if you want to go around Yamanouchi or Shiga Kogen, it's a good base.

Located in Karuizawa, Kyukaruizawa Kikyo, Curio Collection by Hilton is situated a 6-minute walk from Kyu Karuizawa Ginza Dori shopping street. Service was excellent, shuttle service was amazing, breakfast was delicious and rooms were very comfortable. Love the coffee machine. Staff were always ready to assist us.

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

Very tranquil place to relax and enjoy the nature. The onsen and Harunire Terrace are not far from the B&B and easy to reach via walk or a short ride (the host could take you there in 5 minutes). The owners are kind and warm. Exceptional breakfast. Definitely will come back ^^

나가노에 자리한 Oshi Ryokan에서는 차량으로 오는 투숙객을 위한 무료 전용 주차장뿐 아니라 정원, 무료 Wi-Fi도 제공합니다. 숙소는 젠코지에서 20km, 나가노역에서 22km 거리에 있습니다. 이 료칸에는 스키 보관소 등이 마련되어 있습니다. 숙소는 지고쿠다니 원숭이 공원에서 45km, 쓰가이케 코겐 스키장에서 46km 거리에 있습니다. Wonderful traditional ryokan owned by the Oshi family for 200 years. I stayed in a spacious tatami room on the ground floor with beautiful views of the garden. Very peaceful to sit and stare outside. Delicious breakfast and dinner add on options and a very friendly host who made me feel like I was in a second home. Will definitely be returning again. The ryokan is conveniently located steps from the bus stop and takes about 1 hr on a direct bus from Nagano station. It's 3 mins walk from the steps of the first of five shrines (lower shrine) of Togakuji so I highly recommend completing the Togakuji "pilgrimage" trail to see all of them. Beautiful 300+ yr old cedar trees line the paths. Togakuji is the birthplace of soba noodles and beside Chusa Otorii (middle shrine) is the #1 soba noodles restaurant, Uzuraya. There are long wait times at the restaurant so I put my name down at Uzuraya on my way up on the hike and it was ready by the time I returned to dine right away. It was around a 3 hr roundtrip hike from the ryokan or 4-5 hrs with breaks and lunch. Great way to explore the area.

Located in the Shibu hot-spring district, guests can enjoy indoor and outdoor hot-spring baths at Suminoyu. Massages can be requested and a footbath is also available for extra relaxation. Great onsen area, very kind and helpful staff, excellent facilities and superb food!
