Inês and her husband are very caring hosts, when we arrived, we had a small welcoming from them and a presentation on the propriety and how the amenities were organised, the atmosphere was very relaxing and calm, the view is amazing and the pool has a decent size and is not very deep. To bath on the pool looking and the douro river and all the vineyards is just breathtaking. The breakfast has a great variety of food, homemade scones, cakes, and fruit you can choose from and Inês and her Husband are ready to help you if need. The rooms are big enough for a great night sleep. The other guests seemed to be on the same mood, everyone was very quiet and everyone behaved. There are a variety of nearby restaurants you can choose from if you like to get some lunch or dinner. Overall, if you need to get away from your world and enter a new dimension, this is a place to go to!.

Alex spent a lot time with us explaining the different things we could do in the area with maps and great suggestions. Room was very comfortable And cleans the breakfast was amazing ! The best hotel so far on our stay !!!!

El Octant Douro está ubicado en Vista Alegre, Castelo de Paiva. Este hotel está ubicado entre la naturaleza y tiene vistas al río Duero y una impresionante piscina de borde infinito. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

Charming hotel in a beautiful tranquil location run by an efficient helpful team. We very much enjoyed our stay and the excellent evening meals and breakfast served by the hotel's restaurant.The view from our room was stunning. It is a perfect base from which to explore Douro Valley.

Con vistas al pintoresco valle del río Duero, la Quinta da Casa Cimeira, Guest House, Wines & Food se encuentra en una histórica casa de campo rodeada de un jardín y viñedos. Everything was excellent. The friendly staff, the fantastic dinner where you meet people from all over the world. Lot's of top class local food and almost "unlimited" wine supply from the house was included in the dinner package that you should not miss. Superb! The pool area was very nice and relaxing. You could also take long walks in the wine yards with fantastic views over the Douro valley. The room was very nice. Fantastic old style but gently renovated.

La Quinta Vilar e Almarde ofrece alojamiento de estilo rústico y se encuentra en Castelo de Paiva. We received a warm welcome. And even though we were the only guests, they still made a lot of efforts with us. It's a bit of the beaten track and very peaceful.

Quinta de S.Bernardo - Winery & Farmhouse is offering accommodation in Mesão Frio. Among the various facilities are a garden, a terrace, as well as a shared lounge. This place is absolutely magical. The property is stunning, but it's the character of the place and the vibe that made it special to me. You feel pampered and in a luxury environment without it being stuffy. You can casually meander down to the river and grab a kayak, take some yoga mats to the deck, or take bikes out and head to the nearest vineyard. Plus excellent food, service, and views. They got all of the details just right.

It’s a 800 year old building but in pristine and very chique furniture & design. It has recent expansion and it is top quality walls, bedroom & bathroom. The view from rooms, lounge, patio, pool, and dining room is pristine like a painting. The owner and those that work there are incredibly friendly, kind & accommodating. We felt like they were family’s The dinner, wine & desserts were top of the line. I highly recommend the place and if ever visiting Portugal, will stay again!
