My 10yo son throroughtly enjoyed being his ‘boat assistant’. We loved our tours around the lakes, Mila 23 and Sulina. The restaurant is also very good and they have many options outside the traditional fish dishes (if you’re not a huge fan of fish like us). In general the prices are very decent for all services offered including tours and activities. The pool is a nice addition, we spent some nice time there. I highly recommend the this hotel for a few days in the heart of the Delta especially if you to disconnect and unwind.

Pension Sharaiman is situated in the village of Dunavatul de Jos, directly at the Danube Delta. It features a seasonal outdoor pool and a restaurant serving traditional Romanian dishes and fish specialities. The bright rooms come with free Wi-Fi. Choose this if you want to stay in Danube Delta. We stayed in a bungalow which is very private and super cute. They have a sister hotel Nena which is located directly at the canal but from Sharaiman it’s 5 minutes walking. Very carefully crafted decorations make a lovely ambience. Nice pool with deck chairs to use. AMAZING FOOD! Go for whatever the waiter recommends and you will be so happy. Also a boat trip was organized just for us - there are different routes you can choose from. We were lucky to spot different kinds of bird species. This is a remote location, perfect if you are looking for peace, quiet and nature. Nice fireplace to sit by in the evening.
