The rooms are cozy and have everything you need to cook. Definitely recommend getting the breakfast! The last stretch of road up to the farm isn't suitable for road bikes, but it's not too far to walk. Thanks Annika for being flexible and letting us in late!

Apelvikstrand Strandhus offers modern, self-catering holiday homes next to Apelvik Beach, 3 km south of central Varberg. Each accommodation has a furnished patio, kitchenette and flat-screen TV. There was really nothing not to like. I did experience a little difficult checking in as it was late and dark, and signage leaves a little to be desired. I have to take partial blame though, as if I had read my emails properly I would have realised there was an app to download that helped matters. The cottages are unpretentious but very nice, the location is unbeatable if scenery is your preference, and I had the good fortune to visit in the off-season making my stay great value. I fully expect the prices to be dramatically different in the high season though.

This B&B is located in a historical fortress in Varberg. The accommodation is set in what once was a bakery, hospital and prison. The location was amazing, the sea view wonderful and the staff very very friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed that this is a very bike friendly hostel.

The style, the atmosphere, spa, bar, the quality of the rooms. It is a 3 star hotel which is far better to stay at than some 5 stars. They even have hair conditioner.

Situated right by Skrea Beach, Ocean Hotel offers free WiFi and sauna access. All rooms at Ocean Hotel include a minibar, an electric kettle and a flat tv-screen. What a superb hotel. We used it en-route from Norway to the UK. Situated right on the seafront, lovely and quiet and easy to get to from the motorway. The room was huge... I could have parked my car in it and still have had room to spare :-) The restaurant served delicious local food at very reasonable prices all served by a very friendly barman/waiter/receptionist. Breakfast also had an excellent selection. All this at an amazingly low price!
