Self Catering Accommodation in Buritaca

It was such a luxury to stay in this beautiful house! The pictures don’t do it justice- gorgeous kitchen, bathroom and both bedrooms. You can tell they built this to live in themselves initially, as every detail is just so lovely. Also such nice and helpful hosts- offer lots of tours and activities around the area and can help with transport etc. I would 100% stay here again- we extended our stay as soon as we got here because it’s such a relaxing/ nice place to be! And their dog tinto is the custest pup. 10/10 recommend.

We liked everything about the property and the staff who were there when you needed them and were nowhere to be seen when you didn’t need them. The accommodation itself was fantastic. We had the cabin with the sea view. It was a little bit of a trek to get there up a steep climb but well worth it. The accommodation had hot and cold water, air-conditioning and electricity with a small microwave inside and coffee making facilities With complimentary coffee of course. the place was immaculately clean and the staff were always on the hand and extremely helpful during our stay I had my birthday there and the staff laid on a special surprise for me around the swimming pool area and then they all sang happy birthday to me All in all. It’s a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to anybody. It’s perhaps not suitable to stay in the top cabin for people with disabilities as although it has a concrete path almost all the way to the top, the last bit would be a struggle for people with disabilities . However down in the main area where the dining room, kitchens and reception are the accommodation is perfect for anybody with disabilities. in our group we had one person with a wheelchair who stayed main accommodation area making it easy for him to get to the dining area. The area itself is situated just off of the main coastal road and is within easy access to lots of various beaches along the coastal road all within very easy reach of public transport which will stop outside the entrance to promisedland making day trips out to the beaches very easy

Great option especially for family to stay in confort in this paradise, most of other establishments around are hostels with great resto but poor sleeping option for families. Nancy was there to help us with anything we needed.

Location was great, the beach basically comes into the garden of the property, and you can walk out on to the main Mendihuaca beach - and walk along to lots of lovely cafe's and restaurants. The beach has a nice laid back backpacker feel to it. The property feels lovely and quiet and peaceful and has it's own pool and pretty garden. The howler monkeys visited the garden several times. We stayed with our two young boys and they loved the pool and swimming in the sea (you have to walk a bit further down for a safe swimming spot). The property has a rustic beach house feel to it.

Can you give a place a perfect rating?! This is a true gem. A new build of gorgeous teak throughout, with thoughtful design principals make this the very vision of boho chic. All set in a lively (but not too noisy), beautiful beach just outside Tayrona. A mangrove set out back which if you are lucky you will spot the howler monkeys from on the rooftop deck. The true ecological bonus is the clear waters of the river located a perfect stroll down the beach. I marvelled at the wildlife, seeing my first ever toucans! Beautiful waterfalls within day tripping distance as well as the park.

I really didn't expect to be alone with my partner in this amazing house on the beach. A truly unique and exclusive experience. Highly recommended.

Casa Colorida is an amazing hidden gem with crazy value for money! Perfect location between the beach, waterfall, jungle and mountains. Taking a short walk to the waterfall or beach is definitely recommended! There is also a cute little town not far away with shops, fruit markets, pharmacy etc. The staff at CC were so friendly and accommodating, the rooms were brand new and HUGE!! Decorated in the most beautiful tropical way. The property had all sorts of fruits and beautiful wildlife and plants, and the way the property is designed makes you feel immersed in the tropical nature the whole time. And because the hotel is a luxury boutique hotel with few big apartments/suites, it almost feels at times like you have this whole luxury hotel to yourself! It was like living in a little slice of paradise. The whole stay was breathtakingly beautiful! I regret only staying one night in this area and this hotel. Definitely recommend and definitely coming back!
